Nicole Murphy got a big laugh at Kathy Griffin’s pic holding a bloody, beheaded image of President Trump … and she even thinks he was asking for it. We got Nicole at LAX Tuesday and she was quick to say Trump “set the bar” for Griffin’s photo…

The Manchester bombing was a despicable act that targeted the most innocent in our society.
It’s one of those attacks that sort of changes things and makes you wonder when the next concert will be hit. It’s also a tragedy that’s likely to be linked to Ariana Grande’s name for a long time.
And Ariana, personally, was devastated.
Fortunately, we know that she’s hanging in there. We even know how — through the support and presence of boyfriend Mac Miller.
According to an insider, Ariana has been having nightmares — a pretty standard PTSD symptom — but Mac has been there for her every step of the way.
“Mac has not left her side, holding her at night, helping her fight back the tears. While the bombing has been terrible in every way, it has brought Ariana and Mac closer together than ever as a couple,” the insider says.
“She doesn’t know how she would be getting through this ordeal without her loving boyfriend.”
That’s not surprising. Holding her at night is pretty par for the course as her boyfriend. But he’s also canceled some of his own gigs — remember, he has a music career, too, and they collaborated a couple of years ago — to stay by her side. That sounds like exactly what she needs, and he sounds like a very devoted boyfriend.
We could be cynical and say that this is the advantage of dating a guy when you’re totally out of his league, but let’s not. This is just a super loving relationship.
Unfortunately, political opportunists have given Ariana more need for emotional support than just the horrific attack.
Her critics have stated that her sexy persona made her a “perfect target,” effectively blaming her — one of the victims — for what happened.
Conservative commentators have lamented that she hasn’t made xenophobic or Islamophobic statements about “border security” or other usual racist euphemisms.
In their minds, not agreeing with their politics means that she doesn’t care. It’s kind of the literal opposite.
Let’s remember that Ariana is a victim in this, too.
We don’t mean that her brand is a victim, or that lost revenue makes her a victim.
She was there when the bomb went off, just like everyone else. You don’t have to be hit by the blast to come away shaken.
Trauma is a very real thing and it’s very likely that she’s feeling a misplaced sense of guilt. It was her concert, after all.
Obviously, acts of terror are the fault of the perpetrators, not of the victims. And she’s going above and beyond for the victims.
That’s why it’s so good that she has support mechanisms. Not just Mac Miller, of course.
Just look at her incredible mother, Joan Grande. This is a strong, wonderful woman — you just have to follow her on Twitter to know that.
This is also the same woman who reportedly ushered a group of nearby audience members backstage when the blast hit. She’s the sort of person who’s always going to help as many people as she can.
And let’s not forget Ariana’s fans. Sometimes referred to as Arianators, because why not, they’re a passionate collective covering a pretty large age range.
They love Ariana and they know that it was fellow fans who were the direct victims of the Manchester attack. Her fans are supporting her online, and they probably always will.
It sounds cheesy, but it’s kind of beautiful to see love and hope in the face of adversity, you know?

Look, we’ve all enjoyed poking fun at the Day-Glo dictator known as Donald Trump.
There’s the tiny hands, the orange skin, the galling disregard for anyone who’s not rich, white and male, the mind-boggling incompetence, and of course, the fact that we’ll all be wearing big furry hats and reading Tolstoy on the beach this summer.
But leave it to Kathy Griffin to go and take the whole damn thing way too far.
As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Griffin posed for a series of photos in which she beheads a Donald Trump dummy.
We mean an actual dummy; that’s not our new nickname for Sean Spicer.
On the list of Really Bad Ideas, pretending to decapitate a sitting president is right up there, just below wearing a suit of Steak-Umms into a bear cave, but above substituting sand paper for toilet paper.
Not surprisingly, the backlash against Griffin’s stunt was swift and harsh.
Trump himself tweeted that the image upset his children, particularly his youngest son, Barron.
“Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!” the president wrote.
Even friends of Griffin’s such as her CNN New Year’s Eve co-host Anderson Cooper condemned the photo, tweeting:
“For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.”
Griffin issued an apology, and she seemed genuine in her remorse, writing, “I beg for your forgiveness. I went too far … I went way too far.”
But it may be a case of too little, too late.
The damage to her career and public reputation might well prove irreversible.
(Griffin will almost certainly be fired from her high-profile CNN gig, for starters.)
Now, it looks like there may be legal consequences for the 56-year-old comic, who is reportedly the focus of a new Secret Service investigation.
TMZ is reporting that agents are looking into “the circumstances surrounding the photo shoot,” in order to determine if anything unlawful took place.
In all likelihood, Griffin will not face any charges, but the fact that she’s the subject of a federal investigation is unlikely to do wonders for her career prospects.
All-in-all, Trump v. Griffin this is shaping up to be the ugliest, most blindlingly bright orange battle since the prop comic Carrottop locked horns with a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.
What a mess that was.

It’s been two months since Jennifer Garner filed for divorce from Ben Affleck.
Prior to that, Affleck and Garner were separated (but still essentially living together) for an astonishing 22 months
We think it’s safe to say that when it comes to painful things, these two aren’t great in the follow-through department.
Their oldest kid is probably still wearing the Band-Aid from the first time she scraped her knee.
The point is, Jen’s taking this breakup so slowly she’s making Gwyneth Paltrow look like Elizabeth Taylor.
Shortly after Ben left rehab, Jen finally pulled the legal trigger and filed for divorce, but moving on and rebuilding has been a very … slow … process.
Earlier this month, Affleck finally moved out of the guesthouse he’d been occupying since June of 2015.
Naturally, the long-awaited move prompted an immediate wave of rumors that Jen was having second thoughts and hoping to reconcile with Ben.
Part of the speculation was just tabloid nonsense, but some of it is coming from reliable sources who say Jen has zero interest in re-entering the dating pool.
“She’s certainly not jumping up and down and screaming, ‘I’m single!’ and planning dates. She still says Ben was the love of her life,” one insider tells People magazine.
As for putting herself back out there romantically, the insider says:
“She will eventually, but it will be a while before she does.”
The reason, it seems, is not that Jen is still hung up on Ben (though that “love of her life” remark is a tad curious), but rather that she’s quite understandably taking this time to focus on her own peace of mind and the happiness of her children:
“This has really been the most difficult decision for her. But it’s time to focus on the future,” the insider says, adding:
“They want to be sure the kids are comfortable. It’s all in step with what they’ve always said was the most important thing: their children.”
Makes perfect sense to us.
That said, you can expect a fresh round of Ben and Jen reconciliation rumors to start any second now.
