Steve Carell: Did He Announce a Reboot of The Office on Saturday Night Live?!

It’s been over five years since the last episode of The Office aired

You still miss it, don’t you?

It was just such a fun, funny, delightful little show, and so very many people loved it so very much.

And since we’re in a time right now when many beloved shows are getting reboots — Roseanne, Murphy Brown, the new Sabrina series on Netflix, just to name a few — fans have been clamoring for a reboot of The Office, too.

There have been rumors about this for a while now, and even a few somewhat promising reports.

We’ve heard that a reboot could happen with just a few of the old cast members and some new characters.

But, over the years, Steve Carell, the man behind the World’s Best Boss, Michael Scott, has maintained that it wouldn’t be a great idea.

He’s also made it pretty clear that if it did happen, he most likely wouldn’t be involved.

Well, Steve hosted Saturday Night Live last night … and he may have changed his tune!

After he kicked off his opening monologue, an audience member interrupted him to ask if he’d ever reboot the show.

“No, actually, I don’t think so,” he answered. “It was a great experience, I love all those people, but I just don’t think it’s the best idea, I think maybe we should just leave it alone.”

Then Kenan Thompson popped up in the audience to tell him that no, it would be the best idea.

“It would be like someone wanted you to reboot Kenan and Kel,” Steve argued.

Kenan told him that it “would be an honor” if that happened — so seriously, can that happen?

But then Ellie Kemper stood up.

Ellie Kemper who played that adorable, goofy receptionist, Erin, in later seasons.

“People would really love to see an Office reboot,” she told him. “Especially me. I need that money. Let’s get that money, Steve!”

He still refused, so she called him a jerk and sat back down.

So it was Ed Helms’ turn.

Ed Helms has gone on to star in tons and tons of movies, but many people still know him as Andy Bernard, that good ol’ Cornell graduate who loves singing and has anger management issues.

“I just don’t think you understand how much money we’re talking about,” he said to Steve. “Like, you wouldn’t have to do all those sad movies anymore.”

(Steve is hosting SNL because he has a new movie, Beautiful Boy, coming out in which he plays a father with a drug addict son.)

He explained that he doesn’t do those movies for money, and so it was time to pull out the big guns:

Jenna Fischer, AKA Pam Beasley-Halpert.

“Steve, do you remember the last words Pam secretly whispered to Michael as she left for Denver?” she asked, referencing a fan-favorite moment.

When he said he didn’t, she told him “She said, ‘Steve, don’t be a dick, do the reboot.'”

Finally, Steve’s actual wife and kids urged him to do it … so was what enough?!

“Seems like everyone wants this to happen,” Steve said to the audience. “Do you want to see an Office reboot?”

Everyone cheered, because honestly, everyone does want to see that.

He asked Ellie, Ed, and Jenna to come up on the stage with him, then said “I am proud to announce officially …”

“We have a great show tonight!”

Yep, he really did play us like that.

Obviously there’s still no reboot in the works, but hey, maybe this was them sort of testing the waters, trying to see if people would want to watch?

We can dream.

Audrey and Jeremy Roloff Announce Next Career Move (And It’s a Big One!)

Audrey and Jeremy Roloff would like your attention.

The beloved couple announced last month that they were departing Little People, Big World after many years in front of the TLC camera.

But they also made it clear at the time that they would not be disappearing for very long…

… or at all, really.

And now, just over a month since they surprised fans with their departure confirmation, Audrey and Jeremy have come out with some VERY exciting news about their professional lives.

We’ll let Audrey break it, okay?

Here she goes…

We are starting a podcast!!

Alright! Can Audrey tell us more about it? You bet she can.

Courtesy of her caption to the adorable photo above, this is what the former reality star wrote:

This has been a longgggg time coming and we are so pumped to start having some raw, unfiltered, down to earth conversations about relationships, friendships, family, entrepreneurship, running a business with your spouse, social media, fitness, marriage, faith, goal setting, hot topic issues, being new parents, our most embarrassing moments from the week and behind the scene of life with us and some of our favorite people!

Audrey concluded this post by asking the following of fans:

What do you want us to talk about?! Comment your questions and tag someone you think we should interview.

And it didn’t take long at all for followers to respond.

“Interview someone from the Duggar family!” replied one individual, adding:

“I would love to see both of you collaborate and talk about similar beliefs and ideas. @jessaseewald @jillmdillard @jingervuolo are three women I would love to see you interview.”

Another person added: “Oh, I think interviewing @dbusby, @dpmills10, @jingervuolo, @lawbates would be awesome.”

And a third simply chimed in, “@duggarfam.”

Audrey is very open about her faith and her committment to family, that’s for sure.

And the same is often said about members of the Duggar family.

Regardless of who they host as guests, however, this is a pretty cool development for Audrey and Jeremy.

They still run the blog/business Beating50Percent and they have a book coming out in 2019. For real!

This is the cover…

… and this is what Audrey has said about it:

The book is essentially our love story. We are spilling never before told tales from our dating journey, and all the ups and downs and ins and outs of our love story.

The pages are filling up with our failures and successes, what we learned from dating and long distance, and how we prepared more for our marriage than our wedding.

We cant wait to share what we’ve learned from our own dating journey in order to equip our readers to build Godly relationships from their first date to “I do” and beyond.

Like we said above:

Jeremy and Audrey aren’t going anywhere.

And thank goodness for that, right?!?

Jeremy and Audrey Roloff Announce Departure from Little People, Big World

In a word? Wow.

In another two words? Gosh darn.

On Monday afternoon, Jeremy Roloff took to his Instagram account and delivered some unexpected and unfortunate news to fans…

… he and wife Audrey Roloff are leaving the show that made them famous.

This will be their final season on Little People, Big World.

So Jeremy announced on social media today, much to the shock and sadness of his millions of fans.

“This is an announcement concerning Jeremy Roloff and his family specifically,” opens Jeremy’s caption, which was posted alongside the photo above.

The father of one continued:

“After 14 years, over 300 episodes, and 17 seasons, the time has come.

“A year ago I made the decision that this season would be our last. It has been an amazing run, and I can’t say thank you enough to all of you who have watched and supported us along the ride.

“We have the most loyal fans on TV and we appreciate every one of you. You are what made doing this so fun.

“We will still be supporting the family as they carry the #LPBW torch onward. This is a decision concerning Audrey and me specifically – the show must go on!”

That’s some good news, at least.

We’ve actually been speculating for awhile that Little People, Big World may soon come to an end because Matt Roloff is moving to Arizona and Amy Roloff has expressed interest in moving on from the farm as well.

Various family members appear to be going in various directions.

And, let’s face it, the show has been on for so long that it’s already set a Guiness World Record.

It’s simply bound to end at some point.

Jeremy, meanwhile, continued as follows:

“[This] being said, we’re not disappearing. We have a lot of exciting stuff in the works and are eager to continue the work that the Lord has called us to!”

It’s true:

Jeremy and Audrey have a book coming out early next year that will chroncile their love, their lives and offer advice to their many supporters.

“Again, we thank you, and always enjoy when we get a chance to meet one of you,” added Jeremy.

“Whether it be in the airport, on the street, at pumpkin season or at one of our upcoming Beating50percent events! THANK YOU for all the love and support.

“Your messages, comments, gifts, and mail are noticed and appreciated. You guys are the best. Thank you for respecting our decision.”

Always honest and always grateful, Jeremy made a point of acknowledging producers and all those behind the scenes that made his success possible:

“I also want to give a big thank you to the team at TLC,” he concluded.

“Thanks for putting up with us;) You’ve provided us with a grand opportunity and for that we are forever grateful.”

Audrey is yet to comment on her departure.

Two years ago, Jacob Roloff also left the series, while Molly Roloff has chosen to live a life outside of the spotlight.

This leaves Amy, Matt, Zach and Tori as the main Roloffs supposedly interested in continuing on with the program.

Will TLC green light a season without Jeremy and Audrey?

Might the cameras follow around Zach, Tori and their son Jackson in a spinoff?

It’s too early to say for certain.

But this much we can say for certain:

We’ll miss you, Audrey and Jeremy. Thank you for the memories.

Kate Middleton and Prince William Announce Son’s Christening Date!

For the record:

Meghan Markle is not pregnant. Do not believe everything that you read.

But this doesn’t mean there isn’t some major Royal Baby news to announce.

Prince William and Kate Middleton confirmed on Wednesday that their eight-week-old son will be christened on Monday, July 9.

Remember Prince Louis?!?

His exciting birth has almost been forgotten about amidst the excitement of Prince Harry getting married and Pippa Middleton telling the world that she is pregnant with her first child.

But he’s still here, still adorable and about to take a significant step in his life.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to announce that the christening of Prince Louis will take place on Monday 9th July at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, London,” Kensington Palace said in a statement this morning.

Following in the very cute footsteps of his brother and sister, Louis’ service will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, who christened Prince George in October 2013 and Princess Charlotte in July 2015.

This same man most recently officiated Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on May 19.

Three-year old Charlotte was christened at Sandringham’s St. Mary Magdalene church in Norfolk.

This is the the same church where her late grandmother, the beloved Princess Diana, was also christened.

The ceremony for four-year old George, meanwhile, was held at St. James’s Palace‘s Chapel Royal.

The Chapel Royal, where Louis’ service will also be, also happens to be where the Duchess of Sussex had her own baptism earlier this year.

Don’t worry. There won’t be a quiz on this later.

At the moment, no further details are known about the christening, but you can expect the Royal Family to release some lovely portraits from the happy day.

Kate and William presented their third child’s name to the world in late April.

He is officially His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge, with Louis having been the middle name of Queen Elizabeth II’s youngest child, Prince Edward (otherwise known as Edward Antony Richard Louis).

We haven’t heard a whole lot from William and Kate about their son since they welcomed him into the world, not since William said that the newborn was sleeping relatively well.

That must be quite the relief.

This may be the last update we receive for awhile, though, as William and Middleton have done an outstanding job of shielding their kids from the public.

It’s always a huge deal when one is born and we get to enjoy a number of photos such as the ones above and below.

But then Kensington Palace works with the couple to make sure no paparazzi have access to various private family areas and the proud parents themselves do everything possible to ensure this same sort of privacy.

They only choose occasions such as this christening to share news with their millions of fans around the world.

Which is how it should be, right?

We’d love to have new Louis photos everyday, but the kid should absolutely grow up in as much peace as possible, given his circumstances in life.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham Announce Wedding Date! Location!

Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham are here to steal Becca Kufrin’s thunder.

Once again.

With Becca set to debut as The Bachelorette this coming Monday, Arie and Lauren went out of their way on Wednesday morning to upstage their nemesis and make a major announcement…

The controversial couple has announced its wedding date!

And its wedding location!

(We’re mostly kidding about the whole nemesis thing, but Arie did dump Becca on national television after The Bachelor finale and then propose to Lauren on the After the Rose special that same night.)

“We are very excited to tell you guys that we have booked a venue,” Burnham said on The View today. “We’re getting married in Hawaii on January 12th next year!”

Arie then provided a few more details:

“It’s in Maui – it’s at Haiku Mill which has this beautiful, old world feel with a lot of vines and greenery.

“It’s not your typical beach wedding. And it’s a private wedding, so not on TV – just a close group of friends. Probably 100 guests.”

Wow. We’re actually surprised by this last part of Arie’s statement.

Based on the way he and Lauren have acted and a few things they’ve said, we simply assumed the stars would get married on television.

(Then again, we also assume they won’t even make it to the altar because, come on, does any couple who supposedly fell in love on The Bachelor?)

“We’re just really happy with each other and we vibe well together,” Lauren said. “We’re best friends, so we’re just ready for that next step.”

She even said they would take this marital step “tomorrow” if they could, but there’s too much to plan for that to be realistic.

Arie, of course, proposed to Kufrin to wrap up his season as The Bachelor.

Two months later, he broke up with her… while network cameras rolled.

He then asked for Lauren’s hand in marriage, stunning viewers who had witnessed the Becca proposal just an hour or so earlier in real time on their TV.

“It was a big risk to do what I did and I know that it wasn’t a popular decision. But it was a decision I had to make for myself. … I knew that Lauren was the person I was supposed to be with,” Luyendyk Jr. said of the moment.

He continued:

“I never watched the finale, so we don’t really know how that breakup looked on TV. But breakups are hard, and I think that everyone handles it in a different way.

“They say it was unedited, but it was edited. You’re not in control of the editing room and you can’t really control what they show.”

No one out there blames Arie if his heart told him to go with Lauren instead of Becca.

But Luyendyk has shaded Kufrin here and there for some reason and he could have chosen to end their engagement in private, as opposed to in front of millions of people.

However, don’t expect Arie or Lauren to apologize for how they ended up here.

“Our relationship is so unique and it’s nothing that I’ve ever had before,” Burnham said, concluding today:

“So the fact that he was willing to take that risk and all of America hating him to be with me, that means a lot to me.”
