Michael Ketterer, America’s Got Talent Finalist, Arrested for Domestic Violence

Michael Ketterer, a finalist just this week on Season 13 of America’s Got Talent, was arrested on Thursday afternoon and charged with domestic violence.

The arrest took place just one day after Ketterer lost out to magician Shin Lim for the latest title on this long-running NBC competition.

The aspiring singer was taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department around 3:45 p.m. yesterday, multiple outlets have confirmed.

According to TMZ, Ketterer was arrested after he got into a fight with his wife, Ivey, who reportedly displayed a visible red mark when the authorities arrived at their hotel room.

Ketterer told the aforementioned website that the entire thing was a “misunderstanding,” alleging that his wife told cops she didn’t want to press charges.

Ketterer, who works as a pediatric mental health nurse and who resides in Knoxville, Tennessee, impressed the judges and the audience on Tuesday night when he belted out the emotional lyrics of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”

He said during the finale that he was dedicating the track to “my God because he moved mountains.”

Prior to this performance, Ketterer had advanced all the way to the live rounds after Simon Cowell hit the Golden Buzzer during an earlier audition.

He had also received a promise from Garth Brooks (yes, Garth Brooks!) that the country legend would write a song for Ketterer if he made it all the way to the finals.

Brooks has since invited Ketterer to sing at his sold-out Notre Dame Stadium concert on October 20.

It’s unclear at the moment whether or not this invitation still stands.

Said Brooks in a Facebook Live video, after being told about Ketterer by Cowell:

“We’re going to suit you up with a band. We’re going to put you out in front of 85,000 of the sweetest people you’ve ever played for before, and they’re going to be pulling for you like no other.

“This is going to be good.”

Ketterer, however, was one of the few America’s Got Talent finalists NOT scheduled to perform with winner Lim at America’s Got Talent Live in Las Vegas in November.

Confirmed to perform are Courtney Hadwin, Brian King Joseph, Vicki Barbolak, Duo Transcend and Samuel J. Comroe.

On a personal note, The 41-year-old singer and Ivey were high school sweethearts who chose to pursue adoption when their daughter, Sophie, was six years old and asked for brothers.

The couple went on to adopt five boys from foster care, starting with brothers Jared, Chase and Jeriah.

Then came Sean, who at one point was acually homeless; and then Rodrigo, a nine-year-old who suffers from cerebral palsy.

Ketterer ended his strong America’s Got Talent run by finishing in fifth place.

No word yet from anyone associated with the show or NBC.

As of this writing, Michael is free on $ 50,000 bail.

We’ll update this story when or if more news breaks.

Amanda Stanton Arrested for Domestic Violence: See Her Mug Shot

Amanda Stanton was arrested very early morning in Las Vegas on a battery domestic violence charge.

Her sort of sultry and likely quite intoxicated mug shot, along with details from the incident, are below…

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the 28-year-old former Bachelor suitor and Bachelor in Paradise contestant was taken into custody around 3:15 a.m. due to an alleged altercation between her and her boyfriend, Bobby Jacobs.

Insiders tell TMZ that Stanton was drinking late into the night as part of a co-ed bachelorette party.

The gathering, which included Jacobs, ended up in a hotel room after the group had been out and about for hours beforehand.

Law enforcement tell the aforementioned celebrity gossip website that security arrived at the room at one point in response to a noise complaint.

Jacobs was reportedly talking to a guard when Stanton (who was far from sober) attempted to intervene and shoved her boyfriend in the process.

This is why the security guard called the police.

Stanton was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and was released later on Monday.

Sources say, however, that she and Jacobs are still together and on perfectly fine terms.

They both think someone slipped something into Amanda’s drink, which prompted her to act in this unusually violent manner.

Stanton has not yet commented on what transpired, but she did share photos on Instagram over the weekend from the Vegas adventure, writing at one point:

“All 3 of us have had Bachelorette parties but only one of us is actually getting married… #pregamingpavlis.”

The veteran ABC personality – who appeared on season 20 of The Bachelor and seasons 3 and 4 of Bachelor in Paradise – was in Sin City for a bachelorette party with friends, including fellow Bachelor contestant Lauren Bushnell.

The mother of two actually agreed to marry Josh Murray at one point, only for that romance to end in December of 2016.

She also briefly dated Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 star Robby Hayes, and was mentioned on the program just last night after Hayes made a surprise appearance on Season 5.

Almost immediately, a male contestant warned the women on the island that Hayes had supposedly cheated in Stanton, an allegation he has denied.

As an actress, Stanton has appeared in The Cheetah Girls 2 and Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh.

As a love interest of Jacobs, she started dating her current beau after he slid into her direct messages, saying the following to Us Weekly two months ago:

“We don’t really have a great story.

“I wish we had a more exciting story. We were saying that we should just say we met at the dog park or something…

“I guess it’s pretty normal these days. It just is funny to say.”

David Henrie Arrested at LAX With a Loaded Firearm

Just last week, Wizards of Waverly Place alum David Henrie happily announced that he and his wife are expecting their first child. It’s happy news!

Unfortunately, on Monday, David was arrested at LAX after TSA agents noticed that the 29-year-old actor had a loaded gun.

David Henrie starred on The Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place, playing Justin, the Type-A and straightlaced older brother of Alex, who was played by Selena Gomez.

Now he is 29 years old, married, and his first child is on the way. He and his wife, former Miss Delaware Maria Cahill, are expecting a baby girl.

Unfortunately, he was arrested on Monday, September 10 after bringing a loaded firearm to LAX.

LAX’s Airport Police Public Information Officer tells Us Weekly: “David Henrie was arrested at 9:05 a.m. for possession of a loaded firearm at an airport screening at LAX.”

The statement continues: “He has been booked into the LAPD Pacific Division Jail and will be released on his own recognizance.”

David Henrie LAX gun apology

David took to Instagram to issue a heartfelt apology.

“I take responsibility for the situation at LAX today,” David writes. “I unintentionally brought my legally owned gun which is registered in my name to the airport.”

“I am so sorry for any trouble it caused,” David says. “But I am appreciative of TSA’s efforts in implementing the safety laws that are in place to protect our beautiful country.”

David adds: “More than anything I am humiliated and embarrassed that this even happened.”

“But I am thankful to the TSA, LAPD, and all involved today for their kindness and their professionalism during this process,” David concludes.

That is … not the sort of apology that you would normally expect from a celebrity.

Especially not from a celebrity who was just arrested for having a gun in one of the last places where a gun should ever be.

But that apology very much fits David Henrie’s brand — whether he wrote it or a publicist did.

And honestly, it sounds like exactly the sort of calculated, gracious apology that you’d expect from a guy who’s playing a young Ronald Reagan in a film coming out this years.

Think what you will about Reagan’s policies and influence on American politics, but the guy knew how to string words together. Well, until the end.

This arrest came only days after David and Maria had cheerfully announced that they were expecting.

In a short video posted to Instagram, they popped a balloon that doused them with pink glitter.

Pink, though initially associated with men a little over a hundred years ago, later came to be associated with women — so they’re expecting a girl.

Gleefully, David captioned the video: “ITS A GIRL ITS A GIRL ITS A GIRL. Im a Poppa!!!!!!!”

He continued: “Im so overwhelmed with joy I had to share this with you guys. I’m already singing ‘I Loved Her First.'”

David Henrie is Italian, though he played a latino character on Wizards of Waverly Place. Television casting was once even less woke than it is now.

It wasn’t that long ago that he, a devout Catholic, had the opportunity to meet pope Francis, which was a thrilling moment for him.

Honestly, though we absolutely believe in serious consequences for serious crimes, since David did not hurt anyone or intend to hurt anyone, we hope that he’s able to get through this scandal.

By which we mean that we hope that the consequences are more along the lines of not being allowed to own a firearm for a while, rather than being put on a do-not-fly list.

We should note that this incident is a great example of the TSA managing to effectively do its job.

Here’s a great packing tip for everyone who is preparing to fly: leave your gun safely secured at home.
