It’s time for Robert Kraft to play “Let’s Make a Deal” … Asian Spa prostitute edition!
The Patriots owner has been offered a plea deal in his rub-and-tug case … TMZ Sports has confirmed. We’re told prosecutors are willing to drop the criminal charges — if Kraft agrees to a battery of embarrassing punishments.
Kraft’s proposed penance includes … completing a course about prostitution and 100 hours of community service. He would also have to submit to an STD test. Yeesh.
There’s more … Kraft would also have to state that if the case were to go to trial, he would be found guilty.
We’re told the deal is not specific to Kraft — other men busted in the prostitution sting have received the same offer.
The issue for Kraft … he’s already pled not guilty, and there doesn’t seem to be any upside in the offer from prosecutors — so it would be shocking if he accepted this deal, or anything close to it.
News of the proposed plea deal was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.
Unclear if Kraft will accept the terms of the deal. His case is due back in court on March 28.
As we previously reported, 77-year-old Kraft is accused of going to the Orchids of Asia Day Spa on two separate occasions in January and paying for sex acts.
He’s been charged with 2 counts of soliciting prostitution.
Jussie Smollett is now officially in the crosshairs of law enforcement, because Chicago PD said he’s now “officially classified as a suspect in a criminal investigation … for filing a false police report.”
The cops say detectives are currently presenting evidence to a Cook County Grand Jury.
If Smollett is charged the felony carries a maximum 3-year prison sentence.
We’re told the 2 brothers are at the courthouse now and are expected to testify … most probably today.
The 2 brothers who claim Jussie Smollett staged the “attack” say he paid them $ 3,500 before the attack, but the reason for the payment is muddled.
Sources tell TMZ, Jussie wrote a check for the $ 3,500, but he wrote on the memo line on the check it was for training.
Sources connected to Jussie tell TMZ, the money — paid shortly before the incident — was for workout sessions and a dietary regimen.
Sources connected to the brothers tell TMZ, Jussie was indeed paying for training, but he threw in more money than they were owed. When pressed, our sources admit Jussie did not say any additional money was for participation in the alleged scheme, but they say it was clear to all.
The ball is in Jussie Smollett‘s court, and we’re told the ONLY way he can stave off a grand jury investigation is to meet with cops and somehow convince them the “attack” was real.
As we reported, police “urgently” want a follow-up interview with Jussie … this comes after Ola and Abel Osundairo told police they staged the so-called attack at Jussie’s behest and even got paid for doing so.
We’re told the call has gone out to his lawyers, but cops have not heard back. It’s now complicated by the fact there are rumblings Jussie has a new lawyer — Mark Geragos.
Our sources say cops are waiting to see if Geragos makes contact with them. Our sources say if Jussie refuses to speak with police — which is almost a certainty — the case will go directly to the grand jury.
Even if Jussie speaks to police, unless he pulls a rabbit out of a hat and convinces them the “attack” was real, the case is still going to the grand jury.
Our law enforcement sources say the grand jury will decide whether to indict Jussie on the felony crime of filing a false police report.
The Osundairo brothers met with prosecutors Tuesday to go over their story.
21 Savage‘s face kinda says it all — 2 days after ICE finally released him, he had to pose for this mug shot in his felony theft case. Sooo … zero reason to smile.
As we first reported, the rapper turned himself in to cops last Friday in southern Georgia. He was booked for theft by deception for allegedly skipping out on a 2016 concert.
The case came up again after his ICE arrest, because the concert promoter, Karen Smith, decided to go after him for the $ 17k she says he made off with when he bailed on the show.
Smith says 21 demanded he be allowed to carry a gun onstage — which she caved to — but says he bounced when he got annoyed about the opening act, who was a local rapper.
A warrant for 21 Savage’s arrest had been sitting for at least 2 years, and he surrendered last week at the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department.
Considering he’d just been released from an ICE facility on bond, it’s no surprise he didn’t look pleased in the mug. He was booked and released within half an hour.
Mark Geragos reportedly is close to becoming Jussie Smollett‘s new criminal defense lawyer, and all signs were pointing to it Monday night.
Geragos appeared on CNN and made a ferocious case supporting Jussie and throwing major shade on the Chicago Police Department. Geragos suggested the leaks coming from the police were a thinly veiled attempt to skewer the actor.
We realized what was up the second Geragos appeared on Anderson Cooper‘s show and made repeated contacts with Geragos trying to find out if he was representing him — it was the only way to read his comments. Geragos did not get back to us.
There are now reports he is close to representing the actor who is now in the crosshairs of the police department.
TMZ broke the story, a grand jury is about to convene to hear evidence as to whether Smollett should be indicted on the felony charge of filing a false police report.
Smollett has vehemently maintained the attack was real.
Chris Brown‘s touched down in the USA, less than a week after being arrested overseas for allegedly raping a woman … something he strongly denies, and led him to file a defamation suit.
CB landed in a private jet with his crew at the Van Nuys airport outside L.A. Saturday afternoon. Everyone looked pretty chill after the long flight … and what was surely a turbulent week in Paris.
As we reported … Brown was arrested by French police Monday after a woman claimed she was raped by the singer in his hotel suite. CB was released on his own recognizance without bail hours later, though, and free to leave France … though he stuck around for work.
While the rape case hasn’t been dismissed, we’re told police had big problems with the accuser’s version of events … which factored into their decision to let Brown go.
Chris also has a problem with her accusations, and he’s taken action by filing a defamation suit and criminal case against her Thursday morning.
Nelly took a major step in proving he’s got nothing to hide in a criminal case out of the UK, where he’s being investigated for alleged sexual assault.
Law enforcement sources tell us the St. Louis rapper was interviewed last week by the Essex Police at their Southend station, where they’ve opened a criminal probe into an alleged sexual assault from 2017 … when Nelly performed in the area.
We’re told Nelly flew out to meet with cops — without being asked — and we’re told his participation is a major step forward in the investigation … but not necessarily the deciding factor. It might be a while before a decision is made on whether to charge him.
Nelly was never detained at the police station. A rep for the rapper tells TMZ … “Nelly flew to the UK on his own volition last week to work with the police in assisting their investigation to clear his name completely.”
As we’ve reported … Nelly’s been accused of masturbating in front of a woman and forcing his penis in her mouth after a meet and greet in December 2017. She says she was able to flee and didn’t immediately go to cops out of fear of not being believed.
Nelly — who’s denied the latest allegation — is being sued for the same alleged incident. He also settled a separate lawsuit with a woman who’d accused him of rape.
Chris Brown‘s Parisian lawyer has made good on his promise … he just filed a defamation lawsuit against the woman who got his client arrested on rape allegations.
The lawyer, Raphael Chiche, filed the complaint Thursday … titled “false accusation, committed on January 18, 2019.” It appears this is more than a civil defamation case … according to the doc obtained by TMZ, the lawyer is citing a criminal statute relating to invasion of privacy. A violation of that law carries a maximum 1-year prison sentence.
As we reported, Brown was freed by cops Tuesday, hours after he was arrested. Sources tell us the Paris police had issues with the accuser’s story — that she was raped and abused in 3 separate rooms by 3 people in Brown’s hotel suite, with around 20 people in the living room.
A source close to Chris tells TMZ, he acknowledges he’s had “issues in the past,” but feels he’s become “an easy target for anyone to cry wolf.”
Although Brown is free and still working in Paris on his music video, we’re told the investigation is ongoing.
Chris Hansen is off the hook for allegedly bouncing checks — which got him arrested in Connecticut — because prosecutors dropped the charges … TMZ has learned.
The former host of “To Catch a Predator” came up with the nearly $ 13,000 he owed to a mom-and-pop shop in Stamford, CT … according to the court. As a result, prosecutors decided to drop the whole matter.
TMZ broke the story … Hansen was arrested and booked for larceny after allegedly bouncing 2 checks to the store owners.
Hansen’s attorney, Philip Russell, tells TMZ … Chris was in court Wednesday for a hearing, but he didn’t have to plead to any charges after paying his debt in full.
As for when Hansen settled the tab, we’d assume he paid up after his arrest — but when we posed that question to the court clerk we got a “no comment.”
