J.D. Madison: Alleged Victim of Southern Charm Star is Facing Threats

In August, Southern Charm star J.D. Madison was accused of sexual assault. The details of the allegations are … heinous.

Another man was implicated, and it is that man’s actions that are bringing this case back into the spotlight.

He is now accused of having shown up at the victim’s house and threatening her.

J.D. Madison is accused of having drugged a woman and of having raped her once she lost consciousness.

According to FITSNews, another man implicated in the assault, chiropractor Jay Schwartz, showed up at the unnamed victim’s home.

“I’ve been trying to contact you,” he reported told her while standing at her doorway.

He then apparently said: “I want to talk to you about what happened that night.”

Instead of leaving when he realized that he was unwelcome, he apparently told her that he “has the messages from that night.”

To make matters worse, when the woman tried to close her door, Jay allegedly placed his hand between the door and frame, propping the door open.

It is at this point that he allegedly repeated what he had told her.

Once he had finally departed, the woman contacted police — which is absolutely the right thing to do under those circumstances.

Police then went to Schwartz’s home and asked him about the encounter.

He reportedly agreed with the woman’s “assessment of their conversation.”

Police then returned to her home where they gave her a copy of the No Trespassing order that had been issued to Schwartz.

Truth be told, an instruction to not trespass on someone’s property is a very mild response, considering the circumstances.

A man implicated in the drugging and sexual assault of a woman then showing up at that woman’s home and preventing her from closing her door?

That sounds like a terrifying ordeal.

It also sounds like a court could interpret it as witness tampering or witness intimidation.

Southern Charm fans cannot help of being reminded that J.D. Madison’s good buddy Thomas Ravenel was recently arrested.

Ravenel was arrested for assault and battery, and those who have connected the dots believe that the charges stem from the allegations by Nanny Dawn.

She is one of two women who have accused Ravenel of sexual assault.

Others have accused him of alarming behavior, saying that he seems like a perfect gentleman … right up until he becomes someone else altogether.

Thomas Ravenel will not be returning to Southern Charm for Season 6.

J.D. Madison was never a star of Southern Charm in the way that Ravenel was.

Instead, Madison had a recurring role — but that role was ongoing for the first five seasons of the series.

Some are asking if reality television in particular has a problem — if there is something about the genre that makes bad men gravitate towards it.

We understand the arguments, but we are not so sure.

Maybe, as more men are coming to realize, there are just a lot of terrible, predatory men out there. Not most men, but too many.

Perhaps some of them being reality stars is just a statistical inevitability.

J.D. Madison, Southern Charm Star, Also Accused of Sexual Assault

J.D. Madison and Thomas Ravenel now have something in common.

But it’s not friendship and it’s not a role on Bravo reality series Southern Charm.

It’s the fact that each has been accused of sexual assault.

We’ve documented in the past how Ravenel has been accused of raping both a nanny and a woman with whom he went on a date a couple years ago.

The lead Southern Charm cast member has since announced that he will not be returning for Season 6.

Now, People Magazine has confirmed that an incident report was filed in August 25 with the Mount Pleasant Police Department against South Carolina businessman Madison, who is pretty tight with Ravenel.

He’s appeared multiple times on Southern Charm as a result.

According to legal documents, allegations of rape, sexual assault and involuntary drugging have been leveled against Madison by a South Carolina female, whose name was redacted by authorities.

The details are pretty disgusting.

The alleged victim told police that the incident in question took place on August 21, 2017.

She says that she was with Madison, his male friend and another female friend at her house for a drink prior to heading out to a local bar.

While there, she alleges that Madison intentionally broke a glass – and, as she cleaned it up, Madison “slipped a drug” in her already-poured beverage on the counter.

The victim says that, after finishing the drink, she fell in and out of consciousness.

Later, in the early hours of August 22, the woman says she awoke in the guest bedroom of her home where Madison was “forcibly raping and sodomizing her.”

The attack supposedly stopped after Madison received a phone call from his wife.

Then there’s this addendum to the story:

FITSNews has identified the male with Madison and the alleged victim that night as Jay Schwartz, a local chiropractor.

He was arrested on drug charges this same evening.

Mount Pleasant are reportedly investigating these charges, while Bravo is yet to issue a comment.

The allegations against Madison come three months after allegations of sexual assault were brought against Ravenel by “Nanny Dawn,” who was featured Southern Charm caring for Ravenel’s two children with ex Kathryn Dennis.

Another unnamed woman also brought a similar charge against the Wealthy Charleston resident.

Ravenel is currently under investigation by South Carolina police.

He dropped out of the show this month admist these scandals, defiant in his statement and adamant that only Bravo producers had done anything wrong.

“I’m not doing the show anymore,” Ravenel Tweeted, adding:

“In the contract they have the right to fictionalize your story. They took advantage of me. I decided I’ve got too much to lose and informed them I’m not coming back.”

This guy sucks so much.

And even if J.D. Madison never faces any charges for what he’s accused of above, we feel confident in saying he sucks a lot, too.

Thomas Ravenel Quits Southern Charm, Plays the Victim Amidst Rape Allegations

Thomas Ravenel is leaving Southern Charm.

But he isn’t going away quietly.

The lead cast member on this Bravo reality series has been under fire for weeks after TWO women accused Ravenel of sexual assault.

First, there was a nanny, who was hired to care for Ravenel’s two kids.

She alleges that the wealthy Charleston resident came home after a night out in 2015 and tried to kiss her.

After she left one room of his house and went into another, in an attempt to extricate herself from the awkward situation, Ravenel allegedly followed her, closed a door behind her and dropped his pants.

“He proceeded to rip my clothes off,” the nanny told People Magazine, with insiders confirming Ravenel has been under investigation for “first-degree forcible rape.”

Ravenel, meanwhile, is also accused of raping a woman with whom he went on a date three years ago.

In this instance, the alleged victim’s daughter went on record with how Ravenel reportedly pushed his date onto a bed, grabbed her wrists and “stuck his fingers inside of her vagina as well as her anus.”

Ugly, heinous stuff all around if these accusations are true.

With Southern Charm cast members hesitant to film with Ravenel again and pressure mounting from viewers, the former United States Senate candidate Tweeted the following on Tuesday evening:

I’m not doing the show anymore.

In the contract they have the right to fictionalize your story. They took advantage of me.

I decided I’ve got too much to lose and informed them I’m not coming back.

First: What a pompous statement.

Second: Did Ravenel really quit or was he fired and is now just trying to save his reputation?

Ravenel is owning up to nothing here, instead trying to somehow claim that he’s been portrayed in an unfair manner on the series itself…

… despite these rape allegations having nothing to do with anything we’ve seen on Southern Charm air.

Shortly after the two assault stories came to light, a lawyer for Ravenel said the following:

“My client enjoys a certain degree of fame, which has unfortunately made him a vulnerable target for such claims.

“The person this woman describes is simply not the man that I know. My client is a loving father, successful businessman, and upright member of the community.

“He is appalled and hurt by these allegations – and is committed to defending his reputation in the appropriate legal forum.”

Ravenel did not film the season 5 reunion special, although girlfriend Ashley Jacobs did attend the taping to defend the father of two.

“I have seen a new Thomas,” she said there, explaining in further detail as follows:

“I mean, it’s humbling, of course, and now he’s [like] let’s stay in, let’s watch movies, let’s cook dinner, let’s just stay under the radar right now.

“And I’ve just seen a much softer, more sensitive, kinder, more supportive boyfriend. You know, everyone wants to be with you when you’re on top.

“Who’s with you when you’re down there? And I’ve told him, I’ve just said, I’m not leaving.”

Except that she reportedly did leave… only to come back a very short while later.

Does Jacobs think Ravenel assaulted these women?

Does she think he’ll be cleared of the charges?

“Of course, yes,” she said at the reunion.

“And it’s all hearsay. I mean, he’s not been charged with anything. These are just allegations. It used to be, you know, you’re innocent until proven guilty.

“Now you’re guilty until proven innocent.”

Southern Charm: Is Ashley Jacobs Really an Escort?

Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel’s girlfriend Ashley Jacobs’ last attack on Kathryn Dennis clearly didn’t endear her to the rest of the cast.

In fact, in the finale episode, different members of the cast enjoyed tossing around a juicy rumor about Ashley. It even got brought up to her face.

Is Ashley Jacobs an escort?

It was Naomie Olindo who brought it up, teasing that “There’s an awkward rumor” about Thomas Ravenel’s girlfriend, Ashley Jacobs.

Cameron Eubanks asks “She’s pregnant? … She’s an escort?” It’s clear that he has already heard this rumor.

The rumor, we learn, allegedly originated in Santa Barbara, where Jacobs originates.

Kathryn Dennis, of course, got wind of it, and says: “Naomi apparently heard this rumor about Ashley being, like, an escort. I’m not being mean. I’m just throwing that out here. …”

And Thomas Ravenel’s ex and the mother of his children has some thoughts on the matter.

“Regardless,” Ashley continues. “I’ve heard from several people and I f–king believe it.”

It’s no surprise to any Southern Charm viewers that Ashley doesn’t think much of Kathryn.

“She’s so delusional,” Ashley says of her boyfriend’s baby mama while speaking to Jennifer Snowden.

“You know what she says?” Ashley asks rhetorically. “I don’t think about you, I don’t talk about you.’”

Ashley keeps right on going, asking: “But you know what I want to say?”

“Every night you go to bed and lay your head on your pillow,” Ashley imagines. “You think about how Ashley Jacobs is winning.”

it is very difficult to imagine that Kathryn thinks anything of the sort at any time of day.

Austen Kroll actually brought up the rumor to Ashley’s face.

“Women can be nasty,” Austen says. “But they’re like, ‘I think Ashley is an escort.”

Interesting to blame an entire gender for nastiness when you’re the one bringing up a juicy rumor, my dude.

“That’s not true,” Thomas Ravenel insists. “That’s absurd!”

“I don’t know,” Austen admits when Ashley asks if he believes that she’s really a nurse. “How would I know? I’ve never seen you do anything than spend his money.”

If Austen hadn’t wanted to stir up drama, he wouldn’t have brought it up. And he definitely wouldn’t have pretended to doubt that she’s even a nurse.

“The factors are you’re not working,” Austen explains. “[Thomas] is paying for everything and then you said you would date Shep or I if we were older.”

“Obviously,” Austen explains. “As guys, it’s guy code to be like, ’T, you sure this girl has the right priorities?’”

Ashley Jacobs, Thomas Ravenel, Kathryn Dennis

At the end of the finale, Kathryn and Ashley go head to head after Ashley crosses some lines.

“Don’t forget that your kids were taken away from you,” Ashley taunts Kathryn. “Don’t forget that. Someday they are going to want to know why.”

“All you are is a gold digger, no one f–king likes you, including your boyfriend,” Kathryn replies. “It’s all in your head.”

“I’m not going anywhere so get used to this, okay?” Ashley says. “I am the best thing that has happened to him and he is the best thing to have happened to me.”

“Why is he miserable then?” Kathryn asks. “Why is he depressed?”

“My boyfriend can’t stand you,” Ashley insists. “I have to hear about this all the time.”

Since this was filmed, contrary to Ashley’s assertions, Kathryn and Thomas were shown on social media getting along just fine as they coparented.

Obviously, there’s no shame in someone being a sex worker of any kind, but we haven’t actually seen anything to suggest that Ashley is an escort.

Instead, Ashley seems to be a nurse. Oh, and a golddigger.

The real issue here is that people just don’t seem to like Ashley — if anything, her feud with Kathryn has made people like Kathryn more.

Ashley also doesn’t feud well on camera — you can see her becoming flustered and, as Kathryn says, childish as she tries to deflect criticisms. It doesn’t play well.

If more people liked Ashley, then this rumor wouldn’t matter to them.

Instead, they’re having a lot of fun with a piece of fake news. If she were making a better impression, they’d probably be tripping over themselves to defend her.

Southern Charm: How Much Are the Stars Paid?

Southern Charm is one of Bravo's most captivating shows.

These wealthy southerners in Charleston, South Carolina air their dirty laundry before the cameras.

Their drama, their escapades, their lifestyles, and their ridiculous personalities make for some amazing entertainment.

But how much, exactly, do the stars of Southern Charm actually get paid for their trouble?

A lot of them make the same amount, but there are a few special cases worth mentioning. And, thanks to a report by RadarOnline, we have the details.

Check it out:

1. Starring on a reality show is work

Southern charm cast photo
The Southern Charm cast already have money. Like Real Housewives, the cast is chosen in part for its affluence. But how much do you have to pay a group of dramatic rich people to air their dirty laundry?

2. How much is, say, Chelsea Meissner paid?

Chelsea meissner
According to RadarOnline, ALL of the stars of Southern Charm are paid the same, flat rate of $ 25,000. But it’s a little complicated for a few of them.

3. So … what is that, per season?

Cameran eubanks
Southern Charm airs 15 episodes per season. So at $ 25,000 for a single episodes, that’s $ 375,000 in a season. Not bad for Cameran Eubanks and her costars, though some Real Housewives rake in over $ 1 million per season.

4. Yes, this even applies to Craig Conover

Craig conover
Conover, who talks like a frat guy at times … and acts like a frat guy at times … is a reformed playboy who is back to his old tricks again. He is paid $ 25,000 per episode to just be himself on camera.

5. Kathryn Dennis is in the same boat

Kathryn dennis image
She makes $ 25,000. But a couple of others, however, are special cases.

6. Shep Rose is where things get complicated

Shep rose
Don’t get us wrong, Shep makes the same $ 25,000 per episode as everyone else. BUT he also has something else going for him, and we don’t just mean his inexplicable Owen Wilson vibe.

Southern Charm Cast: We’re Never Filming With Thomas Ravenel Again!

Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel has been accused of sexual assault by two different women.

Ravenel will not be at the reunion special, leaving many fans to praise Bravo for finally addressing the accusations.

… But did the cast force their hand? Because apparently members of the Southern Charm cast are unwilling to film scenes with Ravenel.

According to Fit News, Thomas Ravenel’s Southern Charm costars are way too creeped out by the allegations to want to share a room with him.

“Several cast members made it clear they would no longer feel comfortable filming scenes with the 55-year-old playboy.”

That sounds like an issue that extends beyond the reunion.

Reports say that Bravo reached the same conclusion.

“As an explanation about why Thomas was not at the reunion, the network planned to announce that the former politician was not returning to the series, but that information leaked last week.”

Apparently, cast members were quick to share that Ravenel gave them the heebie-jeebies.

“Before the production company made the decision to pull the plug on Thomas’ invite to the reunion, at least two cast members had said they didn’t want to participate if Ravenel was attending.”

We don’t know which cast members spoke out.

The accusations against Ravenel are currently being investigated by the Charleston Police Department and by Southern Charm‘s production company, Haymakers.

There were reports that the cast is remaining tight-lipped in public because of either stern warnings or potentially even gag orders issued from Bravo.

(To be clear, Bravo is not accused of trying to obstruct justice, just of trying to keep its cast from potentially making a bad PR situation worse)

However, there are suggestions — rumors, really — that Bravo plans to lift all of that for the reunion special.

Ravenel won’t be there, and his costars can say what they really think of him and what he is accused of having done.

But, at this point, Ravenel not being invited to the reunion is almost a side note.

Those reports — alleged leaks — that he won’t be featured on Southern Charm anymore may be a bigger deal.

(And no, despite the intense drama of his girlfriend Ashley Jacobs’ recent attack on Kathryn Dennis, this isn’t because his absence may change the dynamic)

If Bravo is taking this step to remove him, that means that they’re taking these allegations seriously.

One wonders what the internal investigation has uncovered. What the police investigation has uncovered.

The public knows that Ravenel is accused of assaulting the mother of a real estate agent.

He is also accused of assaulting his former nanny, Nanny Dawn, in a room very close to that in which his young daughter was sleeping.

Others have come forward to describe alarming behavior that they witnessed.

So … is there more?

Fans and viewers will be particularly interested to hear what Ravenel’s ex and baby mama, Kathryn Dennis, has to say.

Though the two have been getting along better recently as part of coparenting efforts, this is serious business.

It seems likely that Kathryn Dennis will try to amend their custody arrangement in light of it.

Because of custody concerns and the shared children, she may mitigate her words about Ravenel at the reunion.

But … it will still be very interesting to hear whatever she has to say.

But even if the entire Southern Charm cast is unanimous in their condemnation of Ravenel …

(They almost certainly will not be — they have many opinions, many of them are argumentative, and that everything that makes them entertaining as reality stars would also make them a terrible jury)

… That won’t mean much except where it influences the opinion of fans.

If Ravenel’s accusers are hoping for justice, the opinions of prosecutors in Charleston will matter more than what any reality star thinks.

Sexual assault is notoriously difficult to prove, in part because the evidentiary system was designed when women were effectively property, and so investigators and potentially prosecutors will have their work cut out for them.

If it is true that Ravenel has been removed from the series, some fans may cry foul, saying that he hasn’t been proven guilty. That would be true; Ravenel has always denied that he has assaulted any woman.

But Bravo has to consider whether or not they want one of their most successful reality series to feature a man accused of sexual assault. How many viewers want to watch a man that at least some of them believe is a monster?

Southern Charm Cast Reacts to Ashley Jacobs’ Attack on Kathryn Dennis: WATCH!

Southern Charm may be entertaining, but it doesn't always live up to its name.

On the most recent episode, the explosion of hostility that Ashley Jacobs unleashed on Kathryn Dennis was enough to have viewers holding their breath. And the aftermath of that fight was just as nuts.

Relive it all in this video compilation, and take a look at how even Kathryn's detractors are raving about how she stayed cool under pressure.

Thomas ravenel and ashley jacobs

Thomas Ravenel is accused of sexual assault by two different women. The latest episode of Southern Charm, filmed some time ago, is probably not going to help anyone's image of the man.

His new girlfriend, Ashley Jacobs, unleashed verbal hell on his ex, Kathryn Dennis — who is also the mother of his two young children.

In particular, Ashley fixated on Kathryn's alleged shortcomings as a parent, claiming that she spends more time with the kids than Kathryn, their mother, does.

Thomas did nothing, but later unleashed his own rage at Chelsea Meissner, lunging at her and telling her to "shut the f–k up."

(You can see that clip at the end of the video that we included)

Kathryn somehow worked up the resolve and strength of character to remain cool under pressure.

Viewers were absolutely dumbstruck by the tirade.

Chrissy teigen tweets about southern charm

There is no better example of how Southern Charm viewers felt than these tweets by superfan Chrissy Teigen.

"@ShepRose that was the meanest s–t I’ve ever heard said on reality television. I don’t know how @KathrynDennis did it! I’d be in jail."

It's impressive that anyone could sit there and listen to a tirade of cruelty like that without lashing out.

"Also of ALL the s–t she said, 'good talk' would have been the f–king END for me. I would have launched."

Chrissy then realized that her comments had been thrust onto the timelines of her countless followers.

"Crap is this a public convo on the timeline now that there is no @ in front lol."

Yep — unless your account is set to private, anything that you tweet outside of DMs is publicly visible.

Shep responded, writing:

"Totally harshed my mellow. Crazy thing is, it was more intense than it looked. If you can believe it."

Kathryn dennis listens

Viewers weren't the only ones blown away by Kathryn's remaining cool under pressure while Ashley made a fool of herself.

Fellow castmates had quite a lot to say.

Danni Baird said:

"I just felt sick to my stomach. Terrible … their kids are going to see that someday!"

Naomie Olindo agreed, adding:

"What she said was disgusting."

Naomie also commented on how Ashley had acted the next day as if nothing had happened at all.

"I think that’s when we realized she’s really over-the edge-crazy."

Ashley jacobs

Kathryn explains exactly how she stayed calm.

"I blacked the f–k out, disassociated, and was in like, shock, panic."

We think that she meant to say dissociated. Those are very similar words.

"Old Kathryn would have flipped the eff out and gone ape-s–t on her … but everyone saw that [Ashley] was just trying to entertain."

Clearly, Kathryn has undergone some personal growth. Good for her.

"She was on display, she was enjoying it. And when I saw that, I was like hmm, you don’t deserve a response."

That was definitely the right move.

Kathryn dennis eyes

Kathryn also commented on how Ashley seemed eerily chipper the next morning, seemingly unable to admit what she had done … or read the tension in the room.

"OK, you have zero empathy or regret or anything over that … so clearly, you’re confirming that you really are crazy."

She adds an entertainingly memorable line:

"But certifiable, not just hypothetical.”

Rumor suggests that Kathryn plans to bring up Thomas' sexual assault allegations in court later this week in an effort to win custody.

Fans cannot help but wonder if she will also mention that Thomas introduces women with questionable behavior to his children.

Thomas Ravenel, Southern Charm Star, Accused of Sexual Assault

Thomas Ravenel, the lead cast member on Bravo’s Southern Charm, is under investigation for sexual assault.

According to People Magazine, which broke this disturbing story, real estate Ashley Perkins alleges that the reality star took advantage of her mother back when she went on a date with Ravenel in 2015.

Parker says her mother and Ravenel met on the dating app Tinder in October of the aforementioned year and then went out on Christmas Day, about two months later.

“We lived in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. He was going to pick her up and they were going to go out for drinks. She agreed to that.” Parker tells People, adding that she did not witness the alleged incident.

She continues as follows:

“I helped her get ready – she wore a diamond tennis bracelet on her wrist. Her wrist was fine when she left the house.

“He left her voicemail saying he got lost on the way to pick her up. I thought he sounded a little inebriated.”

Parker, pictured below with her mother, says Ravenel “changed plans” from the original date agreement as soon as her mom got into his car.

He suggested they go see a home he had just had renovated and she agreed.

perk mom

(We should note at this point that Southern Charm airs on Bravo and follows a bunch of rich and spoiled people around. It premiered in March of 2014.)

Once inside the home, Ravenel reportedly poured his date a small glass of wine.

Upon entering the nanny’s room in the residence, Ravenel “he turned on” my mom, Parker says, detailing her allegations this way:

“He pushes my mom onto the nanny’s bed, grabs her wrist with one hand, then he starts trying to pull her pants off. And she’s like ‘No, no, no, stop.’

“He stuck his fingers inside of her vagina as well as her anus.

“She told me that he held her hands back with one arm and then pulled his penis out and shoved it in her face.”

After her mother screamed “YOU’RE A RAPIST,” Ravenel leaped out, “out of his trance,” Parker says, and left the room.

After the alleged attack, Ashley claims Ravenel told Debbie “to get yourself an Uber.”

However, Debbie convinced Ravenel to drive her home because she had never taken an Uber before, and he proceeded to berate her on the way there.

Parker explains that her mom was acting very “withdrawn” until finally confessing to her daughter what had transpired.

According to Ashley, Debbie contacted a friend who was an attorney and described the alleged situation. He advised her to get legal help, she says.

Parker says they hired Gloria Allred (who has declined comment) and agreed with Ravenal in “mediation” for a settlement of $ 200,000.

Parker and her mom now live in Florida.

She says she has come forward to serve as an inspiration for other victims of sexual assault.

“This is bigger than my mom. This is bigger than me. I would like to let… other women know that Thomas is not invincible,” Ashley concludes to People.

“Or even just women who are against powerful men and think they can’t do anything. I want them to know, you can. I would like to see him off of Bravo.

“I would like for my mom not to have to worry about flipping on the television and seeing his smug mug, flaunting his lifestyle around. It’s bigger than us now.

“I’d like to see some good come out of the ugly.”

In response to these charges, a lawyer for Ravenel says:

My client enjoys a certain degree of fame and unfortunately has become – unfairly – a target for an individual who has, in my opinion, dubious motivations.

Ravenel, who was sentenced to 10 months in jail on federal cocaine distribution charges in 2007, has starred on Southern Charm since its premiere in 2014.

He shares four-year-old daughter Kensie and two-year-old son Saint with ex-girlfriend Kathryn Dennis.
