Nick Cannon Travis Scott Isn’t for the Culture And Kylie Doesn’t Help

Nick Cannon says he’s got beef with Travis Scott performing at SB LIII ’cause the dude hasn’t proven he truly cares about black culture … and Kylie Jenner is one big example.

The ‘Wild ‘N Out’ host was chopping it up with Raquel Harper for a new episode of BET’s “Raq Rants,” where he explained why he’s troubled that Travis was booked to play the Super Bowl halftime show. On the other hand, Outkast’s Big Boi getting the gig doesn’t bother Nick a bit.

Nick — who supports Colin Kaepernick — says BB has proven over the course of his career that he’s for the culture … so, Nick’s good with him appearing in his native Atlanta to balance Maroon 5. But, according to Nick, Travis hasn’t passed that litmus test.

Check out Nick’s rationale on why Trav — in his eyes, anyway — doesn’t seem to be for black people and black causes … and what he needs to do to get there. Spoiler … knocking up Kylie definitely didn’t help his cause.

See his full interview on “Raq Rants,” Tuesday night at 11 PM on BET. If you’re on the West Coast and have Dish or DirecTV, it’s on at 8 PM.

Kendall Jenner Getting Personal Sunday Night … Will Share ‘Raw Story’ to Help People

Breaking News

Kendall Jenner is hoping to connect with people and help them by sharing a very personal story about herself … but it’s a mystery what that is for now.

Kris Jenner announced Saturday her “brave and vulnerable” daughter will be revealing the story on Twitter Sunday night, “In order to make a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue.”

She also shared a video of Kendall alluding to the topic.

Kendall mentions it has something to do with her life when she was 14 years old, but at the time she didn’t have the massive social media following she does now.

Flash forward to today, as a 22-year-old, Kendall has more than 100 million Instagram followers and 27 mil on Twitter. So, whatever message she wants to get out there … she’ll definitely have a huge audience.

Kris doesn’t list a time to tune in to Kendall’s story other than Sunday night, but adds … “be prepared to be moved.”

We’ll be watching.

DeAndre Hopkins Donating NFL Playoff Check to Help Murdered Girl’s Family

Breaking News

Houston Texans superstar wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins says every penny from his NFL Wild Card round playoff paycheck will go to the family of a 7-year-old girl who was gunned down this weekend on a Texas highway.

Jazmine Barnes was killed around 7 AM on Sunday morning when a man in a red pickup truck pulled up next to the family car and opened fire for no apparent reason. The family was going on an early morning coffee run at the time of the incident.

Jazmine’s mother, LaPorsha Washington, was also struck in the attack — but she survived. Jazmine’s 3 sisters were also in the car during the shooting and suffered cuts from shattered glass.

A manhunt is now underway in Texas — the suspect has been described as a white man with a beard who appears to be in his 40s.

Officials say it doesn’t appear the family did anything to provoke the driver.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said, “There was nothing to indicate that the family did anything wrong in any way … They were simply just driving along the service road when this happened to them.”

Clearly, the story has resonated with Hopkins — who said, “When I see Jazmine Barnes’ face, I see my own daughter.”

“I’m pledging my playoff check this week to help her family with funeral costs and to support @shaunking @SherriffED_HCSO @SylvesterTurner in bringing this man to justice. On Saturday, I will be playing in your honor, Jazmine.”

Social activist Shaun King has announced a $ 100,000 reward is being offered for info that leads to the arrest of the killer.

Hopkins and the Texans take on the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday.

Miss Africa 2018 Winner Miss Congo’s on Fire … No Seriously, Help!!!

And, the winner of Miss Africa 2018 is … whoever saved her from major scalp injuries!!!

Miss Congo, Dorcas Kasinde, won the African beauty pageant hosted by the Cross River State Government Friday, but immediately after she was crowned … her hair went up in flames.

It appears the people onstage waving around celebratory sparklers to honor Miss Congo were responsible for setting her hair ablaze, but it seems like they noticed right away … and hopefully the fire did her no harm.

Kasinde reportedly beat out Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnaemeka and Zambia’s Gladys Kayumba to take home the crown, and was awarded with $ 35k and a sport utility vehicle.

No word on the extent of her injuries.

Ryan Leaf Offers To Help Josh Gordon … ‘I’m Here For Him’

Ryan Leaf says he’s glad Josh Gordon is stepping away from football to focus on what’s really important — his mental health — and the ex-QB says he’s willing to help if the WR needs him.

Leaf has fought a very public battle with mental illness … and warns Gordon — who left the Pats on Thursday to focus on his mental health — the fight he’s facing is a very difficult one to win.

“This will be the hardest thing he ever does,” Leaf tells TMZ Sports.

“Making it to the NFL for him was easy in comparison to what he has to battle and what he goes through on a daily basis.”

But, Leaf — who’s sobered up and now hosts a sports talk show on SiriusXM — says he’s down to help … and has actually reached out to Josh to make sure the wideout knows that.

“This is really all about surrender and acceptance. Surrendering to something bigger than you and then accepting the help from people who have been through it before.”

“I’ve reached out to Josh and his manager, Michael Johnson, plenty of times, and they know I’m here for him. They know I’m available.”

FYI, Leaf is currently a program ambassador for Transcend Recovery Community and its Mentoring Program … which helps people who are battling substance abuse issues.

Ryan tells us he’s hopeful Josh can get back on track … and says, “Anybody can do it if I can do it.”
