Abby Lee Miller: Holding Dance Moms Auditions While Undergoing Chemo

Just a couple of weeks ago, Abby Lee Miller teased the return of Dance Moms.

Now, sources are confirming that the series is coming back for an 8th season, starring Miller, who is already looking for fresh-faced new stars.

Not bad for a woman undergoing chemotherapy for cancer just months after getting out of prison, wouldn’t you say?

Yes, if Miller’s own tease (or threat!) that she was coming back to star on more Dance Moms wasn’t enough for you, worry no longer.

A source confirms to Entertainment Tonight that Dance Moms is returning. This will be the show’s 8th season.

And, though Dancing With The Stars pro Cheryl Burke temporarily took the reigns last year, Miller will be back.

If you were hoping for further proof, the Dance Moms casting page is looking for new cast members, ages 7 to 12.

And Miller is in charge.

The page says: “Abby Lee Miller is currently holding auditions for her new ALDC elite competition team.”

Miller is known to have complained about unbearable working situations on Dance Moms in the past, but she has made it clear that this was not the fault of the children.

“I don’t have a problem working with any kid,” Abby wrote. “I love children and have dedicated my life to making other people’s children successful!”

Some have accused of her of being overbearing in dealing with children or of being unpleasant and harsh.

But Miller says that her issue with Dance Moms had less to do with the children and everything to do with male producers.

Miller is battling more than producers at the moment, however, which is why this Dance Moms news comes as something of a shock to so many people.

She has Burkitt lymphoma, a type of fast-spreading cancer that threatened to paralyze her just months ago. It was during her first emergency spinal surgery that doctors were able to identify that the “infection” was cancer.

The good news is that Burkitt generally has a 90% recovery rate.

The bad news is that it’s usually found in children, and the recovery rate in adults is said to be lower.

The other good news is that, because Burkitt lymphoma is a fast-spreading cancer, doctors say that it also responds quickly to treatment.

Last month, Abby Lee Miller underwent a second emergency surgery as part of her ongoing cancer battle.

The Dance Moms star even shared a graphic post-op photo, showing how the incision along her spine was healing.

Hopefully, she will not need to undergo any further drastic procedures.

For her sake, and for the sake of her return to the reality series that launched her to fame.

But while we don’t foresee Miller spendng a lot of time flashing her back scars on camera, there’s likely to be one difficult-to-ignore sign of her cancer battle when she starts filming the series in earnest.

In Miller’s most recent photos, she has been covering her head — with hats or towels.

In others, she simply keeps her hair out of the camera’s view.

Recently, she posted “Hair today, gone tomorrow” to her Instagram captions, warning followes that she anticipated hair loss as she undergoes chemotherapy treatments.

Many fans expect that she will wear wigs while on Dance Moms.

But it is indisputably better to lose your hair for a little while than to lose your life.

It also remains unclear how much of Miller’s cancer battle will be addressed on the series. It may be that she is soon cancer-free.

At the moment, she is focused on casting. Would you want your child to star on Dance Moms?

Jay Feely SLAMMED For Holding Gun in Daughter’s Prom Photo

Jay Feely is a former football player who is making the rounds on Twitter for a reason wholly unrelated to sports.

It is Prom Season, which means that social media is full of prom photos. In this case, the photo is intensely controversial.

Feely poses between his daughter and her boyfriend. While holding a gun.

The picture is clearly staged. The gun is not loaded. The threat is not real. And everyone involved knows that. But that doesn't mean that the photo was okay.

For one thing, as his critics explain, the optics of holding a gun to threaten a high school student these days … it just doesn't go over well.

For another, and this is arguably more important, even though Feely is joking, his joke plays into the age-old tradition of fathers asserting what many view as "ownership" over their daughters and of their daughters' sexuality.

It's probably true that Feely never meant to ignite that kind of controversy or insult his daughter or in any way threaten his daughter's boyfriend.

But he put up the photo and it is still up — along with his apology.

1. This is the tweet that started it all

Jay feely 01 tweet
There is much more going on here than the presence of a gun, but the gun definitely brought some extra attention.

2. It’s Prom Season, so it’s also the season for … this

Jay feely 02 american dads
Shannon Watts is the founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, and she clearly doesn’t see this as a laughing matter.

3. But the controversy is about so much more than guns

Jay feely 03 best take
Daughters are not their father’s property. They are, in fact, real people, with their own desires and everything.

4. Some were more moderate

Jay feely 04 moderate
A lot of controversies are stupid, but this one involves a gun, high school students, and some unhealthy cultural norms. Isn’t it okay for people to speak up?

5. That one received a reply

Jay feely 05 chimes in
That’s something that hadn’t even crossed a lot of people’s minds. It’s a good point.

6. One person offered a "translation" of Freely’s tweet

Jay feely 06 too chicken
This isn’t necessarily true of Freely, of course. But that is part of the culture behind the stereotypical “prom threats.”

David Eason Posts Photo of Infant Daughter Holding Toy Gun, Outrages Fans

David Eason seems determined to make sure he alienates every last one of the fans whom he and his wife rely on to put food on the table.

As you may have heard, Eason was recently fired from Teen Mom 2 following a series of bizarre controversies.

It all started when Eason posted a photo of Jenelle Evans shooting a gun (or pretending to shoot a gun) on his Instagram page, apparently as a way of celebrating Valentine’s Day.

As news of the Parkland, Florida school shooting had broken just a few hours earlier, David’s timing wasn’t the greatest, but he refused to take the post down, even amidst intense backlash from fans.

Worse, Eason went on a homophobic tirade, hurling bigoted slurs at followers who dared to question the wisdom of publicly celebrating high-powered weapons just hours after 17 civilians lost their lives, most of them children.

Even though Eason is no longer employed by MTV and Viacom, his wife still is, and she’s now the family’s sole breadwinner.

So you might think he would generally steer clear of controversy in order to keep the peace between Jenelle and her employers.

But of course, you would be wrong.

In a Snapchat story that appeared online yesterday, David and Jenelle’s 1-year-old daughter, Ensley, can be seen holding a toy gun.

The image was captioned, “Photo shoot with Dad.”

Needless to say, the pic received an overwhelmingly negative response from Eason’s followers.

“Kid doesn’t even know what a gun is,” wrote one fan.

“Their ignorance is astonishing. Family of hunters, none of us push this on children, we don’t pose them with guns,” remarked another.

Yes, it’s important to remember that even if you feel very strongly about a political issue, it’s probably best not to drag your very young children into the debate.

Kids who can’t even tie their shoes yet probably aren’t well-versed in the nuances of the 2nd Amendment, ya know?

There’s been no word on the matter from either Jenelle or MTV, but we’re guessing neither party is thrilled with Dave’s latest post.

Watch Teen Mom 2 online in order to be reminded of the depths of Eason’s ignorance.

Jenelle Evans Taunts Fans With Pic of Son Holding Gun

Jenelle Evans is at it again.

You may have thought that after a string of scandals that got her husband, David Eason, fired from Teen Mom 2, Jenelle would simply lie low for a few days.

But she didn’t earn the nickname the Carolina Hurricane by behaving reasonably and maintaining a level head.

That’s a photo of Jenelle’s son Kaiser holding a toy gun.

It’s one of several such photos that she posted to Instagram today.

You may be wondering what the big deal is – after all, young boys play with toy guns all the time, right?

And it’s certainly true that in a different context, these images likely would have gone unnoticed.

But as it happens, Jenelle is at the center of a controversy involving guns and social media, and her latest posts are being interpreted by fans as a response to the criticism against her.

As you may recall, Jenelle’s latest troubles began when Eason posted a photo of her shooting a gun on Valentine’s Day.

Again, timing was everything, as the photo was posted just hours after the school shooting in Parkland, Florida that left 17 dead.

Jenelle and David were heavily criticized and rather than delete the post as so many suggested, Eason hurled homophobic slurs at his followers.

Within hours, he was let go by MTV.

There have been rumors that Jenelle would be fired next, and it seems she’s intent on doing everything in her power to make that happen.

The photos are being viewed not only as a defiant middle finger to Teen Mom 2 fans, but also as a crude taunt directed at Kaiser’s father, Nathan Griffith.

Griffith has gone on record as disapproving of Jenelle’s recent insensitive posts, and those who know her best say this is Jenelle’s way of firing back.

“He does not support that,” a source close to Griffith tells Radar Online.

“That is something they should discuss with him first.”

The source adds:

“Nathan doesn’t even allow Kaiser to watch cartoons with guns. He is too young to understand the dangers of guns.”

“Do enjoy being the most hated teen mom ever?” wrote one fan.

“Are you kidding me ( take that kid away from that mom and give it to the dad),” commented another.

As it happens, Jenelle is currently locked in an increasingly ugly custody battle with Griffith.

And with her latest posts, she’s given him even more ammo.

Watch Teen Mom 2 online to remind yourself of just how far gone Jenelle truly is.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: We’re Holding Secret Talks!

According to an onslaught of recent rumors, Brad Pitt is getting back together with Jennifer Aniston.

Call us crazy, but we aren’t exactly buying this chatter.

On a semi-related note, however, reports also indicate that Pitt is back in contact with estranged wife Angelina Jolie, leaving folks to wonder why.

Is Jolie pissed about the Aniston reunion talk?

Is she considering a reconciliation with Pitt?

Are they collaborating on a movie project?

No, no and no.

Nearly 18 months after they stunned the world by announcing their separation and planned divorce, Jolie and Pitt are still working out the details of their legal split.

There’s no chance they will ever see each other naked, so don’t go getting all excited over this drawn out process.

But there is hope that the initial tension between the superstars has thawed and that an amicable relationship is still very much possible.

The Blast writes that Jolie and Pitt have filed documents in their divorce case, asking to extend their “temporary judge” so that negotiations remain private.

This means we can’t say for certain just what the actress and actor are talking about as it relates to their break-up.

But it’s most likely they are figuring out a way to distribute assets and, of course, coming up with a custody arrangement that satisfies both sides.

Granted, most divorces do not take this long to settle.

However, most divorces do not involve so many millions of dollars between the man and the woman – or so many kids!

Angelina and Brad are the parents to six sons and daughters: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox.

Amid speculation that Pitt was actually abusive with Maddox on board a private airplane in the fall of 2016, Jolie was hesitant at first to agree to any sort of joint custody.

But the two are now coordinating schedules so that Mom and Dad both get ample time in the kids on a regular basis.

“Brad and Angie are doing OK, working out time for him to be with the kids, which he treasures,” an insider tells People Magazine.

Right now, the kids reside permanently with Jolie in Los Angeles and visit with Pitt on occasion.

“Angelina is busy with everything she is doing, including being a super mom to her kids,” someone close to the actress previously told this publication, adding:

“But she is doing fine and working with Brad on ways to continue their lives so everyone is happy.”

As for Pitt?

He’s at least in a better position now than he was several months ago, back when he was actually under investigation by the FBI for supposedly getting physical with Maddox on board that aforementioned airplane.

He’s given a few candid interviews in which he’s admitted to maybe smoking and drinking a little too much back in the day and appears to have arrived at a few revelations about his life in general.

The guy clearly loves his kids.

“The process has been difficult,” said a different People source. “But he is OK and remains committed to his family.”
