John Amos is craving the opportunity to work with Eddie Murphy once again on the upcoming “Coming to America 2” … and he’s got a delicious reason why he should reprise his role as Prince Akeem’s boss.
We spoke to John, who plays McDowell’s owner Cleo McDowell in the OG film, after news broke Friday that Craig Brewer is coming on board to direct the sequel … and John gives us his pitch for why he belongs in the reboot. Disclaimer: you might get hungry after listening to John’s wild ideas.
It’s interesting … John tells us he hasn’t been formally contacted to come back for seconds, even though Paramount Pictures is reportedly intent on bringing back the original cast, which includes Shari Headley, Arsenio Hall and James Earl Jones.
Watch … John is bubbling with ideas for the sequel, if and when the producers hit his line.
Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have an entire floor in an NYC luxury apartment building all to themselves — but it didn’t come cheap … and their work ain’t over yet.
The couple spent around $ 11 million this past summer to close on two units in Brooklyn Heights’ swanky Standish building — where Matt Damon once spent upwards of $ 16 mil for a penthouse. Em and John don’t quite touch his number, but it’s close.
The two apartments — which are adjacent to each other — take up the entire eighth floor. While it’s not set in stone just yet … chances are, John and Emily are gonna be knocking down some walls to have one giant home.
The square footage of the units isn’t listed, but if it’s anything like the entire 10th floor unit — which is reportedly 5,000 square feet — the couple will have plenty of space for themselves and their two kids. It also comes with all the bells and whistles you’d expect … a doorman, an elevator, a concierge, a gym and lots more.
John and Emily appear to be fleeing the West Coast and relocating in New York — they’ve already unloaded two homes in L.A. over the past couple of years.
R. Kelly really should off himself in the wake of the Lifetime docuseries, but he should wait until after he gets sent to prison … so says Daymond John.
In what might be the harshest take yet on “Surviving R. Kelly” … the “Shark Tank” star absolutely tore into the R&B singer, saying Kelly should kill himself. However, he first wants to see Kelly convicted for his alleged crimes.
Watching #SurvivingRKelley . I am so sick to my damn stomach! Hey @rkelly , please don’t take your life now that we all know how fucking disgusting you are. Thats way too easy! Make amends with the victims and the families, serve your time and then kill yourself while in jail.
He tweeted Sunday, “Watching #SurvivingRKelley. I am so sick to my damn stomach! Hey @rkelly , please don’t take your life now that we all know how f***ing disgusting you are. Thats way too easy!”
Daymond goes on … “Make amends with the victims and the families, serve your time and then kill yourself while in jail.”
He’s just the latest celeb to take aim at Kelly in the aftermath of Lifetime’s program which featured multiple women who alleged sexual abuse and worse on camera. Jada Pinkett Smith hasspoken out, ashas Tank … and many others.
