Rob Kardashian Celebrates 31st Birthday, Shows Off MASSIVE Weight Loss!

Rob Kardashian has been laying low recently, and for good reason.

After all, things haven’t been going super well for him lately.

Or for the past several years, for that matter.

He obviously loves his daughter very much, and he probably had like three or four good days during his relationship with Blac Chyna, but besides that, it seems like he’s been in a really dark place for a really dark time.

He had that extremely messy, allegedly abusive relationship with Chyna that ended in flames, he released those nude photos of her that’s gotten him into a heap of legal trouble.

Chyna’s claimed in court documents that he was violent towards her, and that he would threaten suicide to manipulate her, which, you know, isn’t great.

On top of all that, his health has been an issue for the past few years now, and in multiple ways: remember when his family was begging him to go to rehab?

Rob’s also struggled with his weight for a long time, and that’s leading into what we’re going to be talking about today.

See, yesterday was his birthday — he’s 31 now.

To celebrate, Kris Jenner threw a party at her house. Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe were there, though it looks like Kendall and Kylie were on vacation.

Kim and Kourtney brought their kids as well, and little Dream was in attendance!

We know that because Kim shared this picture in her Instagram stories — and look how great Rob looks:

It’s clear that he’s been losing quite a bit of weight, right?

He posted Kim’s photo on his Twitter account, and his followers all agreed that he’s looking good here.

“Dream is just beaut and don’t get me started on Rob,” one person wrote. “He looks so good I’m so happy for him.”

“Wow the weight loss!!” another commented. “Keep going you’ve got this!”

Referencing one of the most iconic Kardashian moments, another of his followers told him “YAS DADDY ROB UR DOING AMAZING SWEETIE.”

And it’s not just that he’s lost weight, but he also looks genuinely happy here, which is rare to see these days.

Oh, and since it was his birthday, you know his family took some time to leave some sweet comments about him on their social media accounts!

“Happy birthday to my brother Rob!!!” Kim wrote. “I love you so much and wish you all of the happiness in the world! I love raising our kids together, you’re the best dad and friend! Can’t wait to celebrate today!!”

In a post of her own, Khloe said “Happy birthday Rob!!! This year is YOURS! I can’t wait to see all you conquer! Seeing you as a father has been so rewarding!”

“You’re an incredible father, brother, and friend!” she added. “I can’t wait to raise our daughters together! I love you Bob.”

Meanwhile, Kris told him that he’s “the most wonderful son a mom could ever ask for and I thank God for you every day!”

“It brings me so much joy to see the incredible father you have become. I am so proud of you!!”

Blac Chyna even set aside her issues with Rob to wish him a happy birthday — she shared this old photo of them with Dream to do so:

Blac Chyna's happy birthday to Rob

It’s nice that he seems to have so much support in his life, and especially that he and Chyna seem to be on decent terms, despite everything.

Hopefully this means that he’s finally on the way to getting better, for good this time, mentally as well as physically.

Happy birthday, Rob.

Kevin Smith Suffers “Massive Heart Attack,” Receives Support From Fans

Scary news from one of Hollywood’s most beloved filmmakers.

Kevin Smith revealed to fans last night that he’s been hospitalized after suffering a near-fatal heart attack.

“After the first show this evening, I had a massive heart attack,” Smith tweeted, along with the image above.

“The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka “the Widow-Maker”). If I hadn’t canceled show 2 to go to the hospital, I would’ve died tonight. But for now, I’m still above ground!”

Smith was filming a standup comedy special at Alex Theatre in Glendale, California the night of the incident.

His cardiac event apparently took place sometime between the 6 pm and 9 pm shows.

Sources say Smith “felt ill” following his early show and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Smith got his start in the industry with the influential, self-financed cult comedy Clerks in 1994.

He’s worked non-stop in the decades since, most recently helming the feature Yoga Hosers and an episode of the CW series The Flash.

A new season of Smith’s reality series, Comic Book Men, premiered on AMC last night.

Back in 2015, Smith lost 85 pounds and stated that he believed he was in the best shape of his life.

News of Smith’s heart attack quickly made him a trending topic on Twitter, where fans and a legion of famous friends pid tribute:

“Kevin we don’t know each other too good but I have loved you since Clerks and I’m praying my ass off for you cause I believe in the healing power of prayer. Can you please pray with me people!?” tweeted Chris Pratt.

“Fans of Kevin Smith please take comfort he is in a good hospital with great doctors but if he needs 2nd or 3rd opinions from the worlds finest cardiologists we’ve got him covered too,” wrote Tom Arnold.

Sources close to Smith say that the filmmaker is resting comfortably and eager to begin the long recovery process.

Our thoughts go out to Smith and his family during this difficult time.

Kevin Smith Suffers Massive Heart Attack

The world almost lost a beloved talent last night.

Kevin Smith, the accomplished director who may still be best known for playing the titular Silent Bob, had to cancel his second stand-up show because he suffered a massive heart attack.

He lived to tell the tale, and immediately took to social media to share his harrowing experience.

In the wee hours of Monday morning (really, what most of us would consider late Sunday night), Kevin Smith shared this hospital selfie across social media platforms.

In his tweet, he wrote:

“After the first show this evening, I had a massive heart attack. The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka ‘the Widow-Maker’). If I hadn’t canceled show 2 to go to the hospital, I would’ve died tonight. But for now, I’m still above ground!”

Just hours before, he’d shared this (below) image of himself — he was so excited to shoot his comedy special.

Now, he knows that he’s extremely lucky to be alive.

Taking to Facebook, Kevin Smith elaborated on everything that had happened.

“I was trying to do a killer standup special this evening but I might’ve gone too far.”

He’s making bad puns — that’s a good sign.

“After the first show, I felt kinda nauseous. I threw up a little but it didn’t seem to help. Then I started sweating buckets and my chest felt heavy. Turns out I had a massive heart attack.”

Yeah, those are huge warning signs that something is off, folks.

“The Doctor who saved my life at the #glendale hospital told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (also known as ‘the Widow-Maker’ because when it goes, you’re a goner).”

That sounds absolutely horrifying. Still, he seems focused on apologizing to his fans.

“If I hadn’t canceled the second show to go to the hospital, the Doc said I would’ve died tonight. For now, I’m still above ground! But this is what I learned about myself during this crisis: death was always the thing I was most terrified of in life.”

That’s relatable.

“When the time came, I never imagined I’d ever be able to die with dignity – I assumed I’d die screaming, like my Dad (who lost his life to a massive heart attack).”

He continues, reflecting on what flashed through his mind as he wrestled with the Grim Reaper.

“But even as they cut into my groin to slip a stent into the lethal Widow-Maker, I was filled with a sense of calm.”

Most imagine that they would feel the opposite of that.

“I’ve had a great life: loved by parents who raised me to become the individual I am. I’ve had a weird, wonderful career in all sorts of media, amazing friends, the best wife in the world and an incredible daughter who made me a Dad.”

His daughter of course is Harley Quinn Smith, named for the beloved and iconic DC character — both supervillain and anti-hero — originally conceived for Batman: The Animated Series in the 1990s.

“But as I stared into the infinite, I realized I was relatively content. Yes, I’d miss life as it moved on without me – and I was bummed we weren’t gonna get to make #jayandsilentbobreboot before I shuffled loose the mortal coil.”

You really have to love your job if your potentially-dying thoughts are about work.

“But generally speaking, I was okay with the end, if this was gonna be it. I’ve gotten to do so many cool things and I’ve had so many adventures – how could I be shitty about finally paying the tab. But the good folks at the Glendale hospital had other plans and the expertise to mend me.”

Kevin Smith Heart Attack Post

He continues with his takeaways.

“Total strangers saved my life tonight (as well as my friends @jordanmonsanto & @iamemilydawn, who called the ambulance).”

Important to give credit where credit is due.

“This is all a part of my mythology now and I’m sure I’ll be facing some lifestyle changes (maybe it’s time to go Vegan).”

His daughter is vegan, so we’re sure that she would be overjoyed. (Though not all vegan diets are healthier than non-vegan)

“But the point of this post is to tell you that I faced my greatest fear tonight… and it wasn’t as bad as I’ve always imagined it’d be. I don’t want my life to end but if it ends, I can’t complain. It was such a gift.

That is some heavy stuff.

(Here he is in a 2017 photo with Gary Fisher, the beloved support animal of the late, great Carrie Fisher)

You can tell that Kevin Smith is either very dedicated to reassuring his fans or just not a meme enthusiast. Any Millennial or Gen Z sharing a selfie from a hospital bed would caption it: “I lived bitch.”

(My friend had cancer surgery last year and that’s how she announced that she was out of it)

But Kevin Smith’s post is beautiful and informative and astoundingly bittersweet.

He survived, but he’ll need to spend time recovering — in addition to the heart attack itself, he does mention that the doctors made a hole in him.

Let’s hope that he makes a speedy and full recovery and lives a long life.

It was a very close call.
