Married at First Sight Recap: Ummm… Did We Make a Mistake?

Til death do them part?

Or until common sense makes them realize that marrying someone you had never seen before your wedding day may not have been a great idea?

The couples on Married at First Sight wrestled with whether or not they made a huge mistake on Tuesday night’s installment of this Lifetime reality show…

As previously detailed, Dave Flaherty and Amber Martorana hit it off when they got hitched.

However, during their first full day as an actual couple, clear issue arose between the newlyweds.

The morning after their, ceremony, each half of the couple went to a friends and family brunch. Amber invited her relatives, but Dave merely invited his groomsmen and their loved ones.

“I’m concerned. I had anticipated his parents being there,” Amber explained, fearing his family didn’t like her and adding:

“Maybe getting married at first sight was not a good idea.”

Perish the thought, Amber!

Dave, meanwhile, wasn’t feeling especially positive about their relationship either.

As he packed for their honeymoon in Cancun, he grew concerned that his new wife was more “high maintenance” than he initially thought because she needed a second suitcase for her stuff.

We’re talking MAJOR obstacles here, people!

Despite their huge issues with each other, Amber was still eager to have a kid with Dave… even though they haven’t had sex yet.

“Maybe we’ll have a honeymoon baby,” she said.

Conversely, everything was going very well for Mia Bally and Tristan Thompson.

(No, not this Tristan Thompson, folks.)

The husband and wife were taking things slow, yet were really into their untion.

Moreover, they couldn’t stop complimenting each other and making one another laugh. How perfect, right?!?

Their families were getting along swimmingly and they were psyched to head to Cancun.

However, when they arrived at to the airport, they really did run into a major obstacle: They couldn’t get on their plane because Mia was detained by customs.

“I literally don’t know what’s going on right now,” Tristan said. “My wife Mia has been detained. I can’t talk to her, I hope she’s OK and hopefully I get clarity on th situation very soon.”

Ummm… what?

We’ll need to wait for next week to see how this situation gets resolved.

Finally, in less dramatic news, Danielle Bergman and Bobby Dodd appeared to be the most stable of the couples at the moment.

They were completely in awe that they were actually married to one another, seemingly unable to believe their good fortune.

“I think it’s going to last forever,” Danielle said. “It was the best case scenario for us.”

Bobby was so physically attracted to his wife that he wanted to rail her all the time.

His only complaint was he wished he could read her better. He wished her could understand her as if they had been together for many years.

Danielle agreed that she had work on expressing her feelings because she just had so many positive ones about her husband.

“I don’t know if I believe at love at first sight but waking up next to her is awesome,” Bobby gushed.

Prior to departing for Cancun, the pair realized they didn’t even have each other’s phone numbers, something rather critical for two people who may need to get in touch at some point.

But, hey, at least one of them didn’t get detained!

Danielle Mullins Shades Mohamed Jbali: He’s Nothing But a Mistake!

Of all of the disastrous 90 Day Fiance couples that have graced our screens, few if any have been more controversial than Danielle Mullins and Mohamed Jbali.

We know that Mohamed may face deportation after some paperwork vanished in transit, but … what has Danielle been up to?

Resenting her ex and throwing shade on social media. Take a look at her latest jab.

Now, Mohamed and Danielle’s split has been deeply acrimonious.

Though they were one of those special 90 Day Fiance couples who do make it far enough to walk down the aisle at the end of their 90 days, these two seem to hate each other.

Mohamed accused Danielle of stealing his money and identity during their marriage.

Danielle has tried during their divorce process to get Mohamed deported … out of retaliation for him withholding sex from her during their marriage.

Mohamed has since seemed to accuse Danielle of having an STI or some other sort of disease.

And now, Danielle has posted this:

Danielle Mullins IG post

“I don’t have [exes], I have examples of what not to do again,” it reads.

Even teens can have exes, but the phrasing, the large font, and the “clever” sincerity make it appear marketed to Danielle’s exact demographic.

Danielle enjoys sharing with her followers on social media.

She posts things like recipes and family photos.

But she’s not above dragging Mohamed Jbali from time to time.

Danielle captioned this photo: “This is so true.”

Interestingly, Danielle’s followers have seemed to take issue with the fact that, in real life and on social media, she has retained the name “Danielle Jbali” despite her enmity towards Mohamed.

Fans were particularly outspoken under this post, since she did (indirectly) bring up Mohamed. They commented on it so much that Danielle felt that she had to speak out.

“Drop the name [questions] already,” she writes. “I have chosen to use my legal name on my social media. I am living my life for me not fans of the show. My social media is mine and if you don’t like what I do unfollow me.”

Danielle continues, explaining that she does not like the hate and hostility that she too often receives on social media.

“We are humans like you. Just because we agreed to go on tv does not mean we have to put up with the negative comments and questions that is not your business. You keep calling other people names you will be blocked.”

Fans accused her of hypocrisy, however, since she’s choosing to bash Mohamed while still using his name.

“Stop talking about your “EXAMPLE” or bringing him up! It’s simple done and over with. @danielle_jbali no body cares you keep the name you could just change it on instagram it costs nothing. But you can keep it legally, just change it on instagram.”

While it’s true that it costs precisely zero dollars to change your display name on social media (unlike legal name changes, which cost time and money), Danielle hit back at this critic.

“if you don’t like what I post unfollow or I will help you.”

Still, fans chimed in to defend Danielle.

“People it’s her life if she wants to keep her last name or not it’s not a big deal and what she post on her page is her page don’t like it press unfollower button it’s that simple and happy 2018 year girl.”

Some people keep an exes name because it’s how they’re known to the public. Others keep it because it’s the surname of their children. It’s always a personal choice.

It’s a personal choice for Danielle, too.

You don’t have to like Danielle to respect her personal choice, folks.

The Voice Recap: Did Kelly Clarkson Make a Mistake?!

The Blind Auditions concluded on Tuesday night’s episode of The Voice, and let’s just say it was a night filled with some of the best performers of the season.

But who garnered the final places?

Let’s break down the five who advanced to the next stage of this long in the tooth competition series.

Genesis Diaz – “Praying”

Kesha is a vocal powerhouse, so anyone covering her songs is generally at an immediate disadvantage. However, this 19-year-old kicked her rendition off with solid footing.

Seriously, it was that good we could have mistaken her for Kesha if we had no idea what Kesha looked like. Adam Levine took a shine to her, and she joined his team.

Maybe Team Adam will have a winner, after all, you guys!

Sharane Calister – “Make It Rain”

This R&B singer burst on to the stage and immediately had chairs turning for her. She knew what she had to do to get through to the next stage, and boy, did she deliver.

Her high vocals were complemented by her big stage presence. She was confident, solid and an all-around enthralling performer. More like this, please!

Team Alicia will be good to Sharane, but song choice will be key for her from here on out.

Dallas Caroline –  “Always On My Mind”

On a night filled with solid performances, Dallas was out of place. The 17-year-old struggled during her Willie Nelson cover. Maybe it was nerves, but we’re sure there were better country singers out there.

A three-chair turn is rare, and it’s difficult to see what the coaches saw in her. It’s doubtful she will make it much further into the process.

Blake has his work cut out with this one.

Jackie Verna – “Peter Pan”

Jackie had a striking voice that could give anyone chills. Her performance was filled with set-pieces that will surely make it one of the most memorable auditions around.

There were a few shaky moments, but that could be attributed to nerves. She was a vocal delight, and just like that, Team Adam has two solid singers!

Amber Sauer – “Shape of You”

Amber made everyone aware she was a fan of Kelly from the get-go, so you can only imagine her surprise when she got Kelly to turn around for her.

The vocals were not fantastic, but there was something there that made her emerge as a likely contender to advance. The troubling thing is, Kelly has such a robust team that Amber could slip through the cracks.

Okay, so the Blind Auditions are over!

What did you think of them?

Sound off below.

The Voice continues Monday on NBC.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. on The Bachelor Finale: I Made a Huge Mistake!

Looks like The Bachelor spoilers we’ve been telling you about for weeks are on the money … and we’re gonna see some crazy s–t.

For once, Chris Harrison might be telling the truth when he says this finale is shaping up to be the most dramatic in Bachelor history.

Rumors of what happens after The Bachelor gets engaged on the hit show have taken the Internet by storm, and for very good reason.

Suffice it to say, after an epic two-part (!) season finale on Monday and Tuesday, Arie Luyendyk Jr. will have some explaining to do.

Okay, a LOT of explaining.

“I know people are going to be hard on [me],” Luyendyk Jr. tells People, all but confirming what the Bachelor spoilers already revealed.

“I made a mistake,” the race car driver admits, but insists, “I’m prepared for the backlash. But all I can say is I had to follow my heart.”

The mistake he’s referring to can only be the choice between Becca Kufrin (left) and Lauren Burnham (right) at the final rose ceremony.

It’s a hard choice, no doubt. They’re both beautiful and wonderful people. But Arie’s been almost hilariously indecisive from the start.

If there were ever a Bachelor who struggled to make up his mind, it would be Luyendyk, as he’s shown time and time again this year.

Now that he’s down to the final two women, it’s apparently too much for the 36-year-old former Bachelorette runner-up to take.

“They’re both great in their individual ways,” he adds.

They sure are. But former contestant Caroline Lunny slammed him earlier this week for “what he did” to one of them at the end.

“This whole time, you’ve said that you are here because you are trying to find a wife,” she said at the Women Tell All reunion.

“I know what you did,” she added, channeling her inner Lauren Conrad, “and I don’t know how you could do that. I just don’t understand.”

“I really hope you found what you’re looking for.”

Caroline didn’t go into the details, but she’s very close to Becca Kufrin, so you can draw some strong conclusions based on that.

As for why she spoke out, Lunny explained:

“I needed to say what I said. When somebody burns somebody you love, you want to have that moment where you get the last word in.”

“I don’t think Arie knows what he wants,” she reiterated. I hope he can move past the glitz of being the Bachelor and take it seriously.”

Arie, a notorious playboy who reportedly broke up with his girlfriend to be on the show (he denies this), says he did find love in the end.

But he says he knows he has to own up to his actions, explain behavior that fans may not like, and handle the ensuing blowback.

“[My decision] might not be the most popular,” he admits. “But for me it’s so worth it. The finale is going to be very interesting.”

“[Both] fans to watch and my journey to get there, but I’m very happy and it’s been an experience that I will remember forever.”

“I really have no regrets doing it. All I can really say is that I’m very happy and it’s going to be fun for me to watch that back.”

“I think there’s criticism every season and I think that I handled that well,” he says, though Bachelor fans may have other ideas.

“At the end of the day, it’s all about finding that person for myself and being happy after all this. I really feel like I will be.”

So … if you haven’t figured it out or read the above links (spoiler alert, duh), can you parse his words to figure out what he does?

Do you think Lauren or Becca is a better fit for this guy? And can Arie stay committed to one or the other once the dust settles?

Grab a hat and hold the f–k on to it.
