Cool moment at the Pro Bowl — two NFL stars who battled cancer and WON bonded in Orlando this week … which makes this pic of Jim Kelly and James Conner inspiring as hell.
Obviously, Conner made the Pro Bowl after balling out with the Pittsburgh Steelers this year — and Kelly is there as an assistant for the AFC squad.
Conner’s story is pretty amazing — he was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2015 after a stellar junior year at Pitt. He underwent months of chemotherapy and was declared cancer-free in 2016.
58-year-old Kelly was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in his jaw in 2013 and has undergone several major surgeries since … including a major reconstructive procedure in 2018.
So, when they spotted each other on the sidelines of the Pro Bowl practice in Orlando on Thursday, they had an instant connection.
“These two know the game of football,” Jim’s wife, Jill Kelly, wrote … “And they know cancer. Superstars and survivors…NEVER GIVE UP!”
Kelly, Conner and the rest of the AFC will take on the NFC on Sunday — and ya better be rooting extra hard for these guys!
Johnny Depp has just filed legal docs citing new evidence that he never beat then-wife Amber Heard … a claim she made during their acrimonious divorce.
Depp filed the docs in the U.K., where he’s suing The Sun for defamation in connection with an article calling him “wife-beater.” The article referenced an altercation between Depp and Heard on May 21, 2016 at their downtown L.A. home. Amber says he threw a phone at her face and then pummeled her and she took photos of her injuries.
Depp’s new documents include witness statements, saying they saw Amber in the apartment building on May 21 and saw no red marks or bruising on her face. One witness says she didn’t see the mark until 6 days later.
Amber also took photos of broken glass in the apartment, claiming Johnny hurled glass and shattered it in the unit. One of the witnesses states in his declaration, “There was no smashed glass that I noticed in the apartment at the time.”
Amber has adamantly stuck by her version of events, and Johnny has implied she injured herself after the fact and took pictures.
He also cites in the documents 2 cops who responded on May 21 and gave 2 depositions stating they saw no injuries on Amber. The cops claim Amber said nothing had happened.
Again, the new filings were in connection with his defamation lawsuit against The Sun. Depp says “They must have made a positive decision to present a totally one-sided picture, leaving out my side of the story and pretending it either did not exist or was not worth considering.”
“90 Day Fiance” star Larissa Dos Santos Lima is denying she downed half a bottle of antidepressants and threatened suicide during an argument with her estranged husband.
Larissa stated Monday, “I would like to clarify that the rumors about drug abuse or suicide attempts are not true. I love for my life so much that I would never try to do something like this.”
TMZ broke the story, Larissa’s now estranged husband, Colt Johnson, told cops his wife swallowed a bunch of pills and locked herself in a bathroom during an argument earlier this month.
Dos Santos Lima was arrested for domestic violence after cops determined she punched Colt in the mouth. According to the police report — obtained by TMZ — Larissa got mad at Colt, accusing him of cheating after she learned he’d purchased porn. She was officially charged for the crime last week and Colt filed for divorce just days after the incident.
“Teen Mom 2” star Jeremy Calvert says a video appearing to show him pissing on a homeless person was just a piss-poor attempt at humor … because he claims there was not any pee or homeless person involved.
Jeremy, Leah Messer‘s ex-husband, tells TMZ … he is just pretending to pee in the vid … over a pile of trash that happened to look like a person lying on the ground, and it was all one big joke.
The video, which was shot in San Diego, caused a furor Monday on social media … and you can see Jeremy was having a great time yukking it up in front of the camera.
But, Jeremy says all the pissing and moaning over the video is unwarranted … ’cause the whole thing was fake.
In case you don’t remember, Jeremy and Leah were hitched from 2012 to 2015 and they have a 5-year-old daughter together.
Cristiano Ronaldo claims the former U.K. “Celebrity Big Brother” star who publicly accused him of emotionally abusing and threatening her is lying … insisting he’s never even met the woman.
As we previously reported, fashion model Jasmine Lennard went off on social media this week — claiming she had secretly dated Ronaldo for a decade and was subjected to all sorts of disgusting behavior, including death threats.
Lennard even posted audio clips she claimed captured Ronaldo making offensive comments — but there’s one huge problem, Ronaldo claims the voice on the tapes is NOT him.
“Mr. Ronaldo has no specific recollection of meeting Ms. Lennard 10 years ago or at any point,” his legal team tells TMZ Sports.
“He has not had a relationship with her and he has not had any contact with her, whether in the last 18 months as Ms Lennard suggests, or otherwise.”
“The voice notes posted by Ms Lennard on social media are not of Mr. Ronaldo. Mr. Ronaldo will take appropriate legal action in due course.”
Lennard has since deleted her entire Twitter account — including the voice messages.
Demi Lovato is thankful she survived 2018 — after an overdose nearly killed the singer — saying she’ll never take another day for granted again.
Lovato is taking time to reflect on the year that was, saying, “So grateful for the lessons I’ve learned this year. I will never take another day in life for granted, even the bad ones. Thankful for my fans, friends, family and everyone who supported me throughout this year. God bless.”
While she doesn’t mention it specifically, Lovato is clearly referring to the almost fatal overdose she had back in July. Lovato had finished a night out with friends and returned to her Hollywood Hills home where she free-based what we’re told was likely oxy laced with fentanyl.
Lovato’s friend and security guard found her and performed life saving measures. She was hospitalized in Los Angeles for several weeks before going to rehab for several months.
