Lindsay Lohan: I’m Normal and Nice Now! I Swear!

Once America’s favorite troubled teen, treated with scorn and sexism, Lindsay Lohan is now our greatest export and is in a better place than ever before.

So teases the sub-headline of a New York Times profile of Lohan, who was actually once a very famous singer and actress.

It’s true!

That was eons ago, of course, as Lohan has been known far more for many years as someone who drives drunks; writes poems to ISIS; and yearns for Mean Girls 2 to get made so she can be hired again.

In this New York Times profile, however, Lohan swears she’s a new and improved person.

She’s living far away from the spotlight in Dubai, she explains, and loving every milisecond of it.

“I’m a normal, nice person. A good person. I don’t have any bad intentions. And my past has to stay in the past,” Lohan says, adding for emphasis:

“Like, people have to just let go of it and stop bringing it up because it’s not – it’s gone. It’s dead. And that’s the most important thing to me.”

It certainly is accurate that Lohan hasn’t gotten into trouble in a very long time.

She hasn’t been relevant, either.

She could have been arrested six times in March and would anyone really have noticed?

But Lindsay says this hasn’t been the case at all, and that she’s content just sitting back and overseeing the Lohan Beach House on Mykonos.

“There’s a business side to my life now,” she tells the Times, proving as much by demanding extra money for the photo shoot that accompanied this article.

The actress-turned-entrepreneur says Dubai is “the safest place” for her.

It actually doesn’t allow paparazzi-type folks to snap random pictures, so she likely has a point there.

“It’s less demanding. America is always like, ‘Go go go go go!’ I don’t have to turn on the news and see about the Kardashians,” Lohan adds, taking a swipe at a frequent foe and adding:

“I don’t have to see anything anymore. I choose what I want to see and how I want to live.”

Apparently Tiffany Trump will be visiting Lohan in Greece next month, which led to a question about her Presidential father and Lindsay’s take on politics.

“Here’s the thing: very simple with politics,” she said. “He’s the president. No matter what anyone says, he’s still the president. I have no feeling. I have no emotion.”

Okay, fine.

But what about her mother and father, both of whom she’s feuded with hard in the past?

“I’m not in control of my family,” she says. “I’m only in control of myself. We’re all friends. My mom and dad are friends, everyone’s good.”

About two years ago, Lohan was the victim of domestic violence, claiming at the time that boyfriend Egor Tarabasov strangled her and tried to kill her.

From that point on, she says, Lohan has vowed to take back control of her life.

“I think success is the best revenge – and silence, as a presence,” she explains, concluding of the aforementioned awful incident:

“It happened, here in Mykonos, on the beach. And that was the moment where I switched and I was like, ‘I’m going to take control of my life completely, and fire everyone and just rehire them when I’m ready.’

“And that’s why I’m here today, because it was on that beach where I got hit. I said, ‘You know what? If there’s anything I can do, I’m going to get that beach.

“It’s going to be my beach.”

Amanda Bynes: Caught Looking… Normal?!?

Amanda Bynes has posted a new photo of herself on Twitter.

And you may need to brace yourself for this one, celebrity gossip followers.

Because the former trainwreck of a mediocre actress is actually looking like … GASP! … not all that much of a trainwreck at the moment.

Indeed, the Internet is in shock right now after Bynes shared the above snapshot on her Twitter page late last week.

Users can’t believe just how normal the star looks while sitting alongside a friend at Girasol Restaurant in Studio City, California.

Along with an emoji of two lipstick-laden lips, the troubled D-Lister included a very simple caption that reads as follows:

“Dinner with friends at Girasol.”

Not particularly revealing, we know, but this is the first picture Bynes has posted in 2018.

We last saw her on social media way back in April of last year when Amanda shared the following image, which appears to also depict her and this same gal pal:

In the latest image, the former Nickelodeon child star is sitting with long blonde hair extensions and a basic black top as she prepares to dine at the eatery.

Looks can be deceiving, of course, but she doesn’t appear to be have recently suffered a mental illness relapse, as had been reported in December.

An actress with a seemingly bright future just a few years ago, Bynes fell hard off the deep end back in 2014.

She was often spotted in public, looking disheveled beyond belief, while she frequently rambled incoherently about things such as killing her dad and leaving his body in a ditch.

She was subsequently diagnosed as Bipolar and was scarcely heard from at all in 2017.

But insiders now tell Us Weekly that Bynes is hoping to make a comeback.

“Amanda is going to be graduating from fashion school this summer,” this source tells the supermarket tabloid, adding:

“She is doing so well and is very excited about the next chapter of her professional life.”

Hey, we’ve made plenty of fun of Bynes over these difficult years, but we’d be thrilled if she really did turn things around.

She hasn’t acted since 2010 and has been nothing but an unfortunate laughingstock among those who follow the entertainment industry ever since.

Following several months of erratic behavior and arrests, Byneswas placed in a treatment facility under an involuntary psychiatric hold in 2014.

She was kicked out of L.A.’s Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising this same year.

However, she returned to this same school in 2015.

Us Weekly writes that Amanda “has been focused on school and does want to return to acting.”

There is allegedly “interest” in her, as well, although it’s unclear from whom and for which medium.

In June of 2017, Bynes went on camera with blogger Diana Madison for the first time since her public meltdown, sounding like someone who had herself together.

“I do miss acting and I have something surprising to tell you: I’m going to start acting again,” she said last summer, concluding:

“I want to do TV. Maybe a few guest spots on some shows that I’m a fan of and maybe another TV show where I’m the star of it.”

Mackenzie McKee: It’s Totally Normal for My Kid to Kiss Dead Dogs!

Mackenzie McKee, former Teen Mom 3 star and current wackadoodle, got herself into some hot water yesterday after sharing a video of her son kissing a dead dog.

Her son. Kissed. A dead. Dog.

Mackenzie documented the whole thing on Snapchat: her dog had puppies, and one of them didn’t make it. Unfortunately, her five-year-old son, Gannon, didn’t get the memo.

He kept holding and cuddling the puppy after it passed away because he simply didn’t know that it was no longer alive.

Mackenzie lamented that she didn’t know how to tell him about the dog, so she did it in the most tactful way she could think of — she said “Gannon, you know that dog is dead, right?”

Gannon said that yeah, he did know the dog was dead, but he kept holding it. Mackenzie told him they needed to bury the poor puppy, and so he eventually handed it over to his mother.

After he kissed the pup’s nose, of course.

Mackenzie tried to defend the video immediately after sharing it, saying that they did all they could do for the puppy, and that “Gannon is having a hard time saying goodbye to the puppy that didn’t make it.”

But surprisingly (just kidding, this isn’t surprising at all, not even the tiniest little bit), the video received some backlash anyway.

So much that now, Mackenzie has done an interview to really set the story straight.

“I brought the dog to the vet in the morning,” she explained to Radar of her pregnant dog. “He said she’s too small to deliver the dogs so we have to give her a C-section.”

“Gannon is there with me and he’s smart enough to take things in. They bring out the mom and the two puppies.”

“They said one might not make it,” she continued, “but you can take him home.”

So they did take him home, and you know the rest.

After the puppy passed, Mackenzie said that “What was going through my mind was, I had a miscarriage at 14 weeks and I delivered the baby naturally.”

“I remember them taking the baby away and I never saw it again. I wish I could go back and hold the baby to get closure.”

“It messed me up for a while.”

Just when you thought this story couldn’t get any more tragic, right?

She said that Gannon “took the dog to a corner and prayed over it,” and “That was a beautiful moment for me because he sees me pray in hard times.”

“I had to explain the dog was sick and he got sent to heaven. We had a funeral, made a casket and buried the dog.”

She insists that “Gannon is okay, he got closure.”

… Nope, still weird.

It’s sweet if Gannon feels better after getting to kiss the puppy goodbye, it really is. And if the dog had just passed, it’s probably fine.

But the way we see it, the issue isn’t so much what happened — though, to be clear, it’s still pretty bizarre — but that Mackenzie felt the need to film it and slap it on social media.

If her kid was that upset about the puppy denying, then he could have probably used a little more comfort right at that moment than his mother could give him with a phone in her hand and Snapchat on the ready.

But yes, it’s great that he got some closure.
