Martina Navratilova Dropped By LGBTQ Group Over ‘Transphobic’ Comments

Breaking News

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova has officially been booted off the advisory board of a prominent LGBTQ organization after making comments deemed “transphobic” about trans athletes.

As we previously reported, the 62-year-old wrote a strongly-worded op-ed about why trans athletes physiologically born as men should NOT be able to compete against women.

Martina said it’s “insane” and “cheating” and says people born with male physiology have a dramatic physical advantage over cisgender women

Now, the LGBTQ non-profit Athlete Ally has announced it has removed Navratilova from the group’s advisory board Tuesday — and blasted Martina in a statement.

Martina Navratilova’s recent comments on trans athletes are transphobic, based on a false understanding of science and data, and perpetuate dangerous myths that lead to the ongoing targeting of trans people through discriminatory laws, hateful stereotypes and disproportionate violence.”

“As an organization dedicated to addressing root causes of homophobia and transphobia in and through sport, we will only affiliate with those committed to the same goal, and not those who further misinformation or discrimination in any way.”

“Given this, Navratilova has been removed from our Advisory Board and as an Athlete Ally Ambassador, effective immediately.”

So far, no response from Navratilova.

In her op-ed this week, Martina says her goal is to make sports fairer — and based on her research, she concluded trans women (born with male physiology) have a distinct competitive advantage.

She also warned in her article that people who take her position are being unfairly labeled as “transphobic.”

21 Savage New Mug Shot for Missed Concert Case … I’m So Over It!!!

EXCLUSIVE

21 Savage‘s face kinda says it all — 2 days after ICE finally released him, he had to pose for this mug shot in his felony theft case. Sooo … zero reason to smile.

As we first reported, the rapper turned himself in to cops last Friday in southern Georgia. He was booked for theft by deception for allegedly skipping out on a 2016 concert.

The case came up again after his ICE arrest, because the concert promoter, Karen Smith, decided to go after him for the $ 17k she says he made off with when he bailed on the show.

Smith says 21 demanded he be allowed to carry a gun onstage — which she caved to — but says he bounced when he got annoyed about the opening act, who was a local rapper.

A warrant for 21 Savage’s arrest had been sitting for at least 2 years, and he surrendered last week at the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department.

Considering he’d just been released from an ICE facility on bond, it’s no surprise he didn’t look pleased in the mug. He was booked and released within half an hour.

Robert Herjavec I Got Bezos Over Musk … In Space Race to Mars!!!

EXCLUSIVE

Robert Herjavec‘s personal customer satisfaction rating is higher for Jeff Bezos‘ company than Elon Musk‘s, so for that reason … he gives Jeff the edge on making it to Mars first.

We got the “Shark Tank” star outside the Staples Center and asked who he’d be more willing to invest in for the next great space race. Robert tells us he used to have a Tesla, and he’s had many Amazon deliveries, and based on his experience … point Bezos.

Speaking of Amazon, Herjavec has thoughts on how its founder’s pending divorce will affect the shareholders. He doesn’t think much will change for now, but says the situation will impact how boards of huge companies do business in the future.

In case you don’t know, there’s a $ 137 BILLION dollar fortune on the line for Bezos, so, like Robert says … it’s kind of a big deal.

Kanye West Sued Over Yeezy Allegedly Fleeced Over Fabric

EXCLUSIVE

Kanye West has been sued by a company claiming Kanye’s company ordered more than $ 600,000 in the manufacturing of fleece fabric for Yeezys and got stiffed.

According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Toki Sen-I Co. claims it struck a deal last June with Ye and Yeezy Apparel in which Toki would manufacture fleece fabric for Yeezys. The company claims it has done business with Kanye in the past and always got paid … until now.

Toki says it was an unusually large order this time around — $ 624,000 — but got nothing. Toki says it manufactured the fleece but they received an email from Yeezy Apparel stating they didn’t intend to go through with the deal.

As for how much fabric is on the line … 53,500 yards at $ 10.81 a yard.

Toki says it tried settling with Ye and Co., to no avail. Toki also says it tried to mitigate damages by selling the fabric to other buyers but it was so specific to the Yeezy brand no one wanted it.

Toki wants the $ 624k plus storage fees.

We’ve reached out to Kanye and Co. for comment … so far, no word back.

United Airlines Sued Passenger Smells Cover-Up Over Shattered 767 Windshield

Exclusive Details

United Airlines pilots had to deal with a shattered windshield at 40,000 feet, and although the airline said bird strike caused the emergency … one passenger claims there was a massive cover-up.

United’s flight 931 left Chicago bound for London on Oct. 27, 2018, and about 3 hours into the trip the pilot announced the windshield was splintered and they had to land immediately … according to a passenger named Theodore Liaw.

In his lawsuit against United, Theodore says he and the other passengers aboard the damaged 767 had to “white knuckle” it for 30 minutes … while the pilot and co-pilot rapidly went from cruising altitude to Goose Bay Airport in Newfoundland, Canada.

Theodore claims United’s customer support agents told them a “bird hit the windshield,” but he calls that a big fat lie, and claims he got the truth straight from the pilot during 8 hours on the ground. According to the suit, he asked the pilot and co-pilot if they’d hit something, and they “chuckled” and said that was impossible because “there’s nothing alive at 40,000 feet.”

In docs, obtained by TMZ, Theodore says the pilots openly confessed it was most likely caused by a mechanic over-tightening windshield bolts. They also admitted 2 of 3 layers of the glass were destroyed and they were nearly sucked out of the cockpit … according to the suit.

Theodore is suing United for negligence. He says he hurt his back in the emergency landing and he’s suffered horrible plane crash nightmares ever since the flight.

United tells us, “Safety is our top priority and we diverted the aircraft due to an issue with the cockpit window. The aircraft landed safely, and we are continuing to investigate this matter. Due to the pending litigation, we’re unable to comment further.”

Wiz Khalifa Drops Over $3 Mil … For State-of-the-Art Mansion

EXCLUSIVE

Wiz Khalifa just swooped a super modern pad — and it only cost him a few mil.

We’ve learned the Pittsburgh rapper closed on a new mansion Wednesday in Encino, CA — near Tarzana, Calabasas and other rich areas north of L.A. — and our real estate sources tell us he dropped a cool $ 3.4 million on the property. Helluva deal, considering how nice this place is.

With four bedrooms suites, the 2-story estate boasts what just about every baller pad might feature — floating stairs, a theater, a 100-bottle wine bar, floor-to-ceiling glass pocket doors, a waterfall island outside … and a sick master suite with its own fireplace.

The house is also a smart home, with a built-in alarm and 4 exterior cameras. Can’t be too careful these days with all the break-ins in and around town. Good call, Wiz.

David Ferrugio and Ben Bacal of Rodeo Realty had the listing.

Michael Thomas Still Pissed Over Saints Loss … ‘Super Bowl LIE’

Breaking News

Saints superstar Michael Thomas is STILL salty over the way his team’s season ended … posting a pic on social media Wednesday calling next week’s Big Game, “Super Bowl LIE.”

The entire city of New Orleans has been up in arms since the refs blew a potentially game-winning pass interference call at the end of the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.

In fact … Louisiana congressman Steve Scalise tells TMZ Sports commissioner Roger Goodell should force the Rams to replay the Saints this weekend ’cause of the robbery.

Thomas clearly agrees … ’cause he took to IG this week to post a meme that transformed the Super Bowl LIII logo into a “Super Bowl LIE” one.

Other Saints have been vocal about the controversial ending too … tight end Ben Watson posted on his social media saying, “It’s not fair. I’m angry for a number of reasons. And we are all incredibly disappointed. But we will not be shaken!”

For his part … Thomas also wrote on social media that Drew Brees and the Saints WILL be back in the Super Bowl next season — writing, “Revenge is the only way to sooth the pain.”

Drake, Odell Beckham Jr. Sued Over Nightclub Beatdown

EXCLUSIVE

Drake, Odell Beckham Jr. and Kourtney Kardashian‘s ex are being sued by a guy who claims he was viciously beaten by a gang of thugs and Drake and Beckham were behind it.

Bennett Sipes claims in a new lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, he was at Delilah nightclub in WeHo when there was a confrontation inside between himself and the defendants. When he attempted to leave the VIP area, he says Drake gave the “throat slash” hand gesture.

As he was attempting to enter the restroom, he says he was attacked by Younes Bendjima, Kourtney Kardashian’s ex, along with members of Drake and Beckham’s entourage.

The video shows the brutal fight. Sipes says he continues to incur medical bills and suffers “extreme mental anguish and physical pain.”

As TMZ first reported, a source at the club told us Sipes “talked smack” as he approached the group.

Sipes filed a police report, but changed his mind and dropped it … at least criminally.

He’s also suing Delilah and others.

College Football Ex-Kent State Player Sues NCAA Over CTE

EXCLUSIVE

A former Kent State running back says he’s suffering from long-term brain injuries due to his college football career … and he’s pointing the finger at the NCAA.

The man behind the lawsuit is Jerry Flowers — a former high school superstar in Georgia who played for Kent State in 2005 … racking up 304 yards and 3 TDs during his freshman year.

Flowers says he sustained “numerous concussions” during his college football career and now he’s suffering from “several symptoms indicative of long-term brain and neurocognitive injuries.”

In his lawsuit, filed in federal court in Indiana, Flowers claims the NCAA actively concealed data about the effects of concussions on long-term health.

He also claims the NCAA did not warn players that their helmets did not protect against concussions, “despite the fact an athlete would naturally think of his or her helmet as protective.”

Flowers suspects he has CTE — and he (along with at least one other college football player) is suing the NCAA for more than $ 5 MILLION citing fraud, negligence and breach of contract.

Ezekiel Elliott Hits Craps Table With Teammates … To Get Over Playoff Loss

EXCLUSIVE

How did Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys get over a devastating playoff loss to the Rams??

VEGAS, BABY!!!

Zeke and a bunch of his teammates took off for Sin City late last week … and TMZ Sports has learned they hit the craps table almost immediately.

We’re told the All-Pro RB, Sean Lee, Connor Williams and other Dallas stars hit up Aria’s casino on Saturday and gambled away the pain from their playoff loss for most of the day.

We’re told the guys got a private table — and it seemed the casino allowed them to bet whatever they wanted … but Zeke was throwing down around $ 500 per roll.

Don’t worry, won’t affect Elliott’s bank account too much — he’s currently toward the end of his rookie $ 24 million contract and will make HUGE money when he renegotiates with the Cowboys.

To put it into perspective, the NFL’s highest-paid running back is Todd Gurley who recently signed a 4-year, $ 60 MILLION extension with the Rams … with $ 45 million in guaranteed money.

Zeke will make similar money … which means his $ 500 per roll is chump change for him.

As for Elliott’s luck at the tables, we’re told neither the RB nor the rest of his teammates came up big winners on the day.

Hey, there’s always next year — right???
