Katy Perry’s family and friends just scored HUGE, thanks to her scooping up a quaint little guest house. Kidding … she bought ‘em a freakin’ mansion! Take a look at Katy’s SECOND home in Bev Hills — it’s 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms spread over…
You may have been aware Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom broke up back in March of 2017.
But did you know they got back together in January of this year?
If you were in the dark on that one, you’re certainly not alone.
Their second time around, Katy and Orlando agreed to keep things much more low key.
But just because they’re not shouting their love from the rooftop, that doesn’t mean they’re not seriously invested in this relationship.
In fact, it seems that Perry and Bloom may be on the verge of taking a major step forward together.
According to a new report from Us Weekly, Katy and Orlando are planning to get engaged sometime in the very near future.
“Katy and Orlando have worked out all their kinks and have had really fluid communication about what each of them wants,” the insider explains.
“Katy doesn’t want this relationship to be a repeat cycle of things she’s already experienced in past relationships that didn’t work out,” the source adds.
“She’s learned to grow from them and doesn’t want that in her current relationship.”
Yes, it sounds as though Katy and Orlando have both learned a great deal from their previous high-profile relationships.
“They really try to communicate well and spend as much time together as possible,” the source claims.
“Obviously, they’re both very busy, but they prioritize communicating and working their schedules around each other,” the insider adds.
“They are very much in love, so an engagement wouldn’t be a surprise.”
These comments sound suspiciously as though they originated with Katy’s reps, which leads us to believe there’s some legitimacy to these rumors.
We’re sure this pseudo-announcement will lead to another round of rumors that Perry is pregnant with Bloom’s baby, but we’re not willing to take it quite that far yet.
Even if the singer is expecting, it’ll likely be quite some time before she makes the news official.
After all, the same reps that are spreading the word about her possible engagement can be quite adept at keeping things secret when they want to.

About five weeks ago, we quoted a report that claimed Matthew Perry was on death’s door.
It may have seemed like hyperbole to some, but the former Friends star has now come out and confirmed the following:
He was REALLY sick for a long period of time.
On Friday, the 49-year-old actor tweeted a few simple, albeit scary, words:
Three months in a hospital bed. Check.
Three months in a hospital bed?!? That makes it sound as if the “death’s door” report was not so far off base.
Perry did not specify whether or not he’s finally been checked out of the hospital, but it’s safe to assume so based on that Tweet.
The update comes a little over a month after a rep for the actor confirmed in a statement to that “Matthew Perry recently underwent surgery in a Los Angeles hospital to repair a gastrointestinal perforation.
“He is grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals.”
The outcome of this specific surgery depends on how early the ailment was diagnosed, along with how severe the perforation is and whether the patient had another disease or illness at the time.
We can’t really answer any of these questions when it comes to Perry.
Often times, conditions such as appendicitis, stomach ulcers, gallstones and/or Crohn’s disease can cause gastrointestinal perforations, as can a stabbing to the abdomen and abdominal surgery.
Moreover, smoking and excessive alcohol use can increase a person’s need for this procedure.
And it’s a safe guess that this is why Perry has been suffering.
The veteran star has open about his struggles with alcohol abuse and has even opened his own sober-living facility named Perry House.
“I couldn’t stop,” Perry told People Magazine in 2013 of his substance abuse. “Eventually things got so bad that I couldn’t hide it, and then everybody knew.”
A powerful voice in the battle against addiction, Perry also said the following at one point to The Hollywood Reporter”
“You can’t have a drug problem for 30 years and then expect to have it be solved in 28 days.”
This is a reference to the typical length of one’s stay at a treatment facility.
In honor of his road to recovery, Perry was presented with the 2015 Phoenix Rising Award.
“I’m an award-winning alcoholic,” Perry told The Hollywood Reporter. “I shouldn’t be getting an award; Phoenix House should be getting an award.”
Along with his iconic role on Friends, Perry also anchored such programs as The Odd Couple. Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Mr. Sunshine.
We wish him all the best.
Geoffrey Owens is about to get a hell of a lot of screen time thanks to Tyler Perry — he’s accepted the mega producer’s offer for an acting gig — and it’s a big one! Owens, who starred on “The Cosby Show,” was recently photographed working as a…
Former Cosby Show actor Geoffrey Owens made a reluctant return to the spotlight this week in what we are calling a Reverse Alex-From-Target situation.
Inexplicably, the actor was shamed and ridiculed for working a normal job as a cashier in between acting gigs.
Now, Tyler Perry has reached out to Owens to offer him a job in television again.
Geoffrey Owens had to step away from his job as a cashier at Trader Joe’s after becoming the center of national attention.
But Tyler Perry has reached out on Twitter to offer him a new job.
“#GeoffreyOwens I’m about to start shootings OWN’s number one drama next week!” Perry tweeted.
“Come join us!!!” He offered.I have so much respect for people who hustle between gigs.”
Perry makes it clear that he has respect for non-acting jobs, calling them “the measure of a true artist.”
In case you’ve forgotten what this was about, Geoffrey Owens rose to national attention this week after he was recognized and photographed while working as a cashier at Trader Joe’s.
He is most famous for having played Elvin Tibideaux on The Cosby Show from 1985 to 1992.
Many were surprised to see him working a normal job. Some people assume that once a person has had a major television role, they are set for life.
This led some people, including Fox News, to shame him for taking this job, assuming that he had carelessly spent a massive TV fortune.
(If we’re picking on former Cosby stars, absolutely everyone can think of a man more deserving of ire)
Thankfully, those hateful messages were very effectively shut down.
There are two important things that everyone seeing this story should keep in mind.
One, Geoffrey is not some washed up former actor. He’s still an actor.
Just last year, he was on Fox’s Lucifer (which was famously saved earlier this year along with shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Expanse — the next season will air on Netflix).
Two, it is totally normal for actors — among other artists — to have regular jobs between or during their art gigs.
Only a very small percentage of actors, writers, and others are able to coast along on the wealth gathered from just a few projects.
It’s great that Perry reached out, especially since Geoffrey could no longer work as an anonymous cashier.
But the biggest takeaway that we should all have from this situation has nothing to do with the realities of the acting world.
Many believe that you have the right to photograph anything that you see in public. That may be so, but snapping a photo is not the same thing as sharing it.
Whether your cashier is attractive or looks like a famous actor or just has weird hair, you do not have the right to broadcast their image across the internet.
None of us ever know what photos of ours may go viral, so we should be extremely careful that we’re not potentially dragging an innocent person into the spotlight.
Please have good manners. Please treat cashiers, and others, with the respect and dignity befitting fellow human beings.
