Kourtney Kardashian Down to 98 Pounds as Family Begs Her to Stop Dieting (Report)

With all that’s been going on in the lives of Kim and Khloe Kardashian, it’s easy to forget about the comparatively drama-free existence of their eldest sister, Kourtney.

For years, Kourtney’s love life was the stuff of intense public interest, but these days, things have settled down considerably.

She’s still dating Younes Bendjima, and it seems that everything’s going well.

But that doesn’t mean Kourtney’s life doesn’t hold its share of challenges still.

The mother of three turned 39 last month, and those who know Kourtney best say the rapid approach of the big 4-0 is causing her considerable anxiety.

Kourtney has always prided herself on her flawless physique, and it seems she’s now having a hard time maintaining her ideal figure.

Insiders say Kourtney’s enthusiasm for exercise and dieting has developed into a full-blown obsession.

According to a report published today by Radar Online, Kourtney is down to 98 pounds and shows no signs of relenting in her weight loss efforts.

“She’s obsessed with portion control and eating only ‘clean food,'” one source tells the outlet.

The insider says Kourtney also drinks a gallon of water and exercises for three hours every day.

She also holds herself to a strict regimen of supplements, which includes “collagen supplements, daily probiotic shots and apple cider vinegar, which she believes speeds up metabolism, and everything is twice a day.”

This is not the first time that Kourtney’s diet has been a subject of scrutiny, and once again family and friends are deeply concerned about her health.

For his part, Bendjima has reportedly urged Kourtney to ease up on the dieting and exercise.

“Younes tells her she should have more curves, but she’s gone nuts and doesn’t know when to stop,” says the insider.

Well, “you should have more curves” probably isn’t something a person who’s struggling with body image issues needs to hear, but we guess it’s good that someone is urging Kourtney to go easy on herself.

After all, she really doesn’t need to lose any weight.

Kourt already shed 160 unwanted pounds when she finally dumped Scott Disick.

Jazz Jennings: I Have to Lose 30 Pounds Before My Bottom Surgery!

Jazz Jennings has real problems that have nothing to do with Derick Dillard attacking her on Twitter. Besides, unlike Derick, Jazz is still on TV.

On the latest episode of I Am Jazz, she has a meeting to discuss the gender confirmation surgery that she’s wanted for all of her life.

Unfortunately, she’s told that she needs to lose weight first. 30 pounds, to be exact.

Back when we talked about the I Am Jazz trailer that teased this entire season, we mentioned issues that Jazz would be shown tackling.

One was dating. Jazz came out as pansexual a couple of years ago, but she hadn’t actually dated a girl before, which was a huge step.

Another was her continuing activism, which has involved Jazz facing off against some serious bigots over the years.

One huge thing (also specifically addressed in the new episode) was the devastation wrought by Hurricane Irma.

But another, which really stole the show in the new episode, was that Jazz’s weight gain — though normal for a growing teenager — could prevent her from getting bottom surgery.

A quick aside, folks, because bottom surgery is not about your butt.

So, there’s top surgery — when someone gets surgery to essentially obtain or lose their breasts.

Not all trans people end up getting top surgery, because trans people experience body dysphoria to varying degrees, and some do not experience it at all.

(Some younger trans folks, thanks to the medical miracles of hormones and puberty blockers, don’t need top surgery because they were either able to grow their own breasts or avoid having them grow)

Many trans people don’t get bottom surgery. It’s expensive, potentially dangerous, and imperfect. And, again, gender isn’t synonymous to genitals and not every trans person has a problem with their anatomy.

However, this is a procedure that Jazz Jennings has wanted for her whole life.

Now that Jazz is 17, and with the support of her parents, she could be a rare case of a trans person receiving the surgery as a minor.

The trouble is that, as she learned on this new episode, hospitals aren’t going to budge about things like her body mass index.

Basically, because she’s a minor, she needs to be a “perfect” case for surgery if the hospital is going to go through with it.

Jazz’s surgeon, Dr. Marci Powers, puts it as delicately as she can:

“Your surgery will be very difficult in terms of what even the most experienced surgeons have encountered.”

She explains why:

“Not to bring up the bad news first, but you gained in your BMI.”

Most people don’t like that kind of news, but for Jazz, it could be get in the way of her living her best life.

Her surgeon continues:

“If we’re going to get a hospital to say, ‘we’re going to allow a surgery at age 17,’ you’re going to have to be at a lower BMI.”

And there’s no fudging it, unfortunately.

“Literally, they won’t approve it if your BMI is one dot over. When it translates to pounds, it’s about 30 pounds.”

Jazz Jennings 06

30 pounds is a lot to lose, especially when you’re a growing teenager. And especially when you’re as tiny as Jazz Jennings is.

Jazz speaks in the confessional, revealing:

“I’m absolutely horrified.”

It probably didn’t help that she was on camera, either.

“I knew that my weight was a problem, but I didn’t realize that it could affect something that I’ve been waiting for my entire life.”

Jazz tweeted about the experience as the episode aired:

“My confidence constantly wavers & some days I love my new larger figure & other days I beat myself up about it. Even though I appear so strong, I’m still human and learning to love myself undeniably.”

We know that Jazz makes a lot of effort to lose weight.

And fans have noted that she appears to have lost some weight in her more recent photos. But … will it be enough?

Perhaps only time, and subsequent episodes of I Am Jazz, will tell.

Teen Shares Epic “Weight Loss” Photo After Breakup: I Lost 200 Pounds!

There are bad dates and there are worse dates. And not all of those are first dates, either.

Well, a teenager named Miranda had a particularly bad date … and celebrated the ensuing break-up with a triumphant weight loss announcement.

And a before-and-after photo that rocketed to viral fame.

Miranda Baker is a beautiful young woman.

She’s certainly not someone whom we would describe as “disgusting” or “unattractive.”

But that is apparently exactly how her (now ex-)boyfriend described her just before their breakup.

See, Miranda is an 18-year-old student at Iowa State University. And on Sunday, she tweeted two (now-deleted) photos, which we have for you below.

Using some simple photo cropping, she turned the single photo into a before-and-after picture, along with the caption:

“After getting called disgusting last night, I successfully dropped 200lbs! (Before and after pics)”

Before you start to worry about her health or grow concerned that this is an endorsement of fat-shaming as a weight loss technique, take a look:

Miranda Baker, Viral "Weight Loss" Photo Split

That’s great.

Obviously, this is neither the first nor the most original use of the “I just lost x pounds” line often employed by the newly divorced.

But the fact that she included photos and actively photoshopped her former boyfriend out of them so that they could be “before and after” photos really wins you over.

Miranda told The Daily Mail that she and her ex had been seeing each other for about 5 weeks before the ugly incident and breakup.

On Saturday, the pair spent the afternoon tailgating and even had lunch with Miranda’s parents.

They then went to her boyfriend’s fraternity formal together. Apparently, it was when they arrived that her date had some alarming things to say about her.

“‘He said to me, “The way you were acting today was disgusting and unattractive.'”

We have no idea what he could have meant, but … yikes.

Unless she was rolling around in excrement or eating a kitten alive or endorsing Roy Moore or ordering mushrooms on her pizza, those comments sound entirely unwarranted.

Basically, that’s an unacceptable way to talk to another human being, let alone to your girlfriend.

Miranda realized that and ended up leaving the formal and meeting up with some friends. Good for her.

She says that her ex later called her, and not to apologize.

“About an hour later he called me, yelling at me to apologize for leaving him! I said, “I will not apologize for leaving you after you called me disgusting and unattractive.'”

That sounds very fair. If he’d broken up with her over her alleged behavior, that would have been his choice.

There was no need to speak to her the way that he reportedly did.

Miranda’s post ended up getting retweeted by just the right people, and became an overnight sensation within the Twittersphere.

She received outpourings of support for her decision to end the relationship. She also got a lot of laughs for her lighthearted “weight loss” photos.

There are worse ways to handle a breakup.

At least one person used the opportunity to ask her out, asking if she was looking to gain “165 pounds.” Funny, though perhaps not the time.

And at least one person took to her ex’s defense, saying that none of the people enjoying the tweets knew what “actually” happened … but also not offering an alternative version of the story.

Social media is amazing, folks.

Jennifer Lawrence Told to Get Naked, Shed 15 Pounds for Role

Jennifer Lawrence did not get personally assaulted or harassed by Harvey Weinstein.

But that doesn’t mean the actress can’t relate to those who allegedly and unfortunately did undergo this horrible experience.

As has been well documented over the past several days, Weinstein is accused of paying off eight women over the years in exchange for their silence over his sexual misconduct.

But countless others have spoken out and claimed the movie producer either treated them inappropriately or even raped them.

The sordid situation has is made even worse by the apparent fact that many Hollywood insiders (from actors… to directors… to writers…) were well aware of Weinstein’s behavior.

They just chose to ignore it.

In response to the ongoing situation, actresses are admirably sharing their own stories of abuse.

Reese Witherspoon, for example, says she was assaulted by a director at the age of 16.

America Ferrera says she was assaulted by a much older man at the age of 9.

And Lawrence detailed an example of the pressures young actresses face in the industry while speaking last night at an Elle’s Women in Hollywood event.

“When I was much younger and starting out, I was told by producers of a film to lose 15 pounds in two weeks,” Lawrence said, prior to revealing something even more heinous about the audition.

“During this time a female producer had me do a nude line-up with about five women who were much, much, thinner than me. We are stood side-by-side with only tape on covering our privates…

“After that degrading and humiliating line-up, the female producer told me I should use the naked photos of myself as inspiration for my diet.”

Yes, this really happened.

And we’re sure many other female stars have similar stories.

Lawrence went on to say she tried to stand up for herself, telling another producer she thought the weight loss demands were not appropriate.

“He said he didn’t know why everyone thought I was so fat, he thought I was ‘perfectly f-ckable.”

This is what the person told Lawrence in her defense.

Lawrence did not identity the people involved.

But she said she felt “trapped” by the ordeal.

“I let myself get treated a certain way because I felt like I had to for my career,” she continued.

“I was young and walking that fine line of sticking up for myself without being called difficult, which they did call me, but I believe the word they used was ‘nightmare.'”

“Every human being, no matter how successful they are, should have the power to be treated with respect because they’re human…

“In a dream world, everyone is treated with the exact same level of respect, but until we reach that goal, I will lend my ear, I will lend my voice to any boy, girl, man or woman who does not feel like they can protect themselves.”

After the Weinstein story came to light, Lawrence also released the following statement:

“I was deeply disturbed to hear the news about Harvey Weinstein’s behavior,” she said. “I worked with Harvey five years ago and I did not experience any form of harassment personally, nor did I know about any of these allegations.

“This kind of abuse is inexcusable and absolutely upsetting.”

“My heart goes out to all of the women affected by these gross actions. And I want to thank them for their bravery to come forward.”
