Jussie Smollett rehearsed the “attack” against him days before the incident and it was all staged for the camera, this according to what the 2 brothers told cops.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Abel and Ola Osundairo told cops they got in a car with Jussie and scouted a location, settling on the one right outside the actor’s apartment. The brothers said Jussie chose the spot because he believed a camera would have captured the action.
Our sources say the brothers told police Jussie said he wanted to make it a “physical thing,” but not to the point he’d be seriously injured.
On the night Jussie says he was attacked, the brothers claim they showed up at the scene but were extremely nervous because, just as they played out the scene, a car drove by and they were worried they’d be ID’d.
Our sources say the brothers performed per the rehearsal — they screamed out they recognized Jussie from “Empire” and then hurled the racist n-word and the homophobic f-word.
The brothers told cops they “made contact with Jussie’s face” but it was “weak.” They said they didn’t know how he suffered the bruises but the staged fight was not designed to injure him.
Check out this video of Abel … if he wanted, he could do a lot of damage.
TMZ broke the story … when cops arrived, Jussie took them down to the area he said the “attack” went down and pointed to the camera, saying it was good the incident was captured on video. What he didn’t know was that the camera was pointed in the wrong direction and didn’t capture the incident.
Jussie Smollett‘s going from “Empire” star to “punk ass bitch,” IF it turns out he staged the homophobic, racist “attack” — so says Reza Farahanwho adds … an apology won’t be nearly enough payback.
We got the “Shahs of Sunset” star out Monday in L.A. and he didn’t pull a single punch in his assessment of the latest Jussie news. Reza tore him to pieces as soon as we brought up the story TMZ broke — that the Osundairo bros. told cops Jussie rehearsed the “attack” days before it all went down in Chicago.
Watch the clip … Reza’s anger came pouring out because he says he had passionately defended Jussie.
Now, he says it’s not just Smollett’s acting career that’s derailed. Reza says there should be criminal charges and a STIFF financial penalty.
Kanye Westsays he plans to run for President in the 2024 election, and it seems like he’s got at least one big supporter who can’t wait for his White House bid … Khloe Kardashian!!!
Khloe and big sis Kourtney Kardashian were filming scenes for “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” Thursday afternoon at Topanga Canyon Mall … and Khloe showed off a new baseball cap pushing Yeezy for Prez.
Forget Kanye’s beloved MAGA hat … looks like Khloe is jumping in on the political hat game with her “Kanye For President” lid.
So, how does T.I. feel about it? See if you can read between the lines …
“I think every man have an opportunity … he can make a decision for himself, or he could be selfless. And, nobody can tell someone when to be selfless.”
“That’s every man’s right to choose that moment for themselves. So, if this ain’t something that he wanted to be selfless about, hopefully in the future we’ll see other moments where he will. You dig?”
Not everyone is upset with Scott — rap legend Nelly told us just a few days ago the outrage over the halftime show is stupid — and said he’d “probably do it” if asked.
High school student Nick Sandmann was the perfect person to get into a showdown with Native American elder Nathan Phillips, according to a congressman from Nick’s home state.
Rep. Thomas Massie, whose district is home to Covington Catholic School, was on Capitol Hill when we asked him about Sandmann and the criticism of how he handled the face-off. Not surprisingly, he’s got a lot of love for his young constituent.
Massie says he’s proud of the way Nick handled himself while Nathan continued beating his drum during the weekend confrontation at the Lincoln Memorial — and he gives Nick ALL the credit for defusing the turbulent situation.
The congressman says he fears what kind of violence could have erupted if Nathan was drumming in front of someone else, who didn’t have Sandmann’s calm temperament.
R. Kelly‘s ex-wife says the stories on “Surviving R. Kelly” rang true to her because of what she says she went through with the singer — including alleged abuse in all forms.
Andrea Kelly went on “Good Morning Britain” after appearing on Lifetime’s docuseries, and she told hosts Piers Morgan and Susana Reid that R. Kelly abused her verbally, emotionally, physically, sexually … and, as of late she claims, financially as well by cutting off child support.
Morgan asks her point blank if she believes the women and believes he’s a serial abuser — to which Andrea says she believes R. Kelly is an abuser … but refuses to either confirm or deny the women’s claims as she didn’t experience them herself.
The ‘GMB’ hosts also ask R. Kelly’s daughter, Joann, how she feels about her dad … and she says she’s torn because there’s still love there on her end.
Definitely a more toned down take than when she called him a “monster” on social media, but it’s clear the family is going through a hard time in the midst of the scandal.
Dana White isn’t just a Patriots superfan — he’s friends with Tom Brady — and tells TMZ Sports he loves that TB12 is “shoving it up all the haters’ asses one more time.”
A bunch of football experts predicted Brady’s demise this season — saying his skills are falling off and his reign of dominance was finally over.
But, after slaughtering the L.A. Chargers in the playoffs last week, Brady and the Pats are playing in the AFC Championship game against the Chiefs on Sunday … and White says he LOVES IT!
“Everybody was talking sh*t this year,” White said.
“Everybody was talking, ‘Oh, he should retire. Oh, the Patriots suck, they can’t win a game.’ We’re heading into another AFC Championship and if we win I think that’s 8 straight AFC Championships. And, it’s a record and he’s going to another Super Bowl.”
“So, shut up!! He’s shoving it up all the haters’ asses one more time and I love it.”
Fun fact, Tom Brady became one of the celebrity minority co-owners of the UFC when WME/IMG bought the MMA organization back in 2016 … so, he and Dana are technically colleagues!
As for if Dana will be at Arrowhead Stadium for the game on Sunday — White says there’s no way in hell. It’s too damn cold!
