Kim Kardashian Tries to Explain Away Kanye’s MET Gala Absence

Kim Kardashian got stood up on Monday night.

Sort of.

The former sex tape star and distributor was forced to walk the red carpet of the annual MET Gala in New York City by herself, prompting many to wonder about the whereabouts of husband Kanye West.

Was he off campaigning for Donald Trump?

Hanging with the only person who understands him, according to certain reports, Scott Disick?

Screaming into the void on Twitter, preparing to be taken to a mental ward?

Nope, nope and nope, Kim told her social media followers shortly after Monday’s fashion event wrapped up.

Kardashian said that West was not by her side simply because he’s too busy working on new music that will debut later this year.

“Love you babe wish you were here with meeeeee but you’re only finishing up 5 albums,” Kim wrote in reply to Kanye commenting on a few sexy photos of his wife last night.

It is true that the rapper has promised to released two new albums this summer.

This is why most folks out there assume his ongoing rants and raves are just a marketing ploy.

Consider: a few short weeks ago, no one was saying a word about Kanye West. He hadn’t really spoken out in public in months.

But now? The President of the United States is referencing him in speeches and anyone with an Internet connection is commenting on his latest controversy.

Is this a good thing, though?

Is all publicity truly good publicity, even if it means you’re saying black people chose to be slaves?

We guess time will tell, but one insider recently claimed Kardashian is thinking about filing for divorce from Kanye.

This individual alleges Kim simply can’t get through to her husband and is also annoyed that he’ll be off touring and promoting his albums this summer, leaving her alone with three young kids.

Learn more about this story below:

Until Kanye does leave her behind, however, the famous couple is trying to spend as much time together as possible.

They just took off for Jackson Hole, Wyoming, for example, largely so Kanye could focus on his music there in peace.

“Kim happily joined Kanye in Jackson Hole,” writes People Magazing, adding:

“She wants to be supportive so he can finish his album. The album has caused Kanye a lot of stress. He is a perfectionist and wants the music to be amazing.”

Too bad he can’t say the same thing about his views on politics, history and society.

Before heading off to New York City yesterday, the 37-year-old mom of three headed to Las Vegas for a reunion with high school pals, which included a Cher concert.

She’s trying to keep herself busy, while also trying to ignore her husband’s social media rambling we assume.

“The Kardashians are really trying to convince Kanye to go and get some help,” a source close to the family told Radar Online earlier this month, concluding:

“He is like a loose cannon right now, and no one knows what to do next.”

Yeah. Good luck with that, Kim!

(P.S. We did love your dress last night.)

Kanye Tries to Explain Slavery Comment, Is SUCH an Idiot

Kanye West may have finally crossed a line.

The rapper has been spewing nonsense for weeks now, ever since announcing that he's releasing new music in the summer of 2018.

When he expressed heartfelt affection for Donald Trump, Twitter users shook their head.

But when he wondered why black people were enslaved for "400 years" while speaking to TMZ and then said the answer had to be because they WANTED to be, well…

… Twitter users nearly broke their computer screens.

Scroll down to see a few responses to Kanye's opinion and then to see how Kanye is attempting to explain himself:

1. Is He Sick or Is He Smart?

Kanye west in white on stage
This is the ongoing debate regarding Kanye: does he need mental help… or does he NOT need a marketing team because he’s so good by himself as publicizing his music and his brand?

2. Getting Schooled

Kanye has been irritating beyond all belief. But maybe it was all worth it, just to see him getting yelled at by a TMZ employee.

3. Down with Kanye

This isn’t funny anymore, people. This is simply dangerous and dumb. (We agree.)

4. Sorry, Kanye Lovers

It’s time to let go. Embrace another rapper. Please stop trying to defend this man or justify his behavior.

5. Okay, So Let Me Explain…

Kanye actually did try to walk back this one remark… kind of, that is. He at least acknowledges that he wasn’t entirely clear in how he phrased himself.

6. It Was a Numbers Game!

No, Kanye, it really wasn’t. Go read an actual book and see what happened to slaves who tried to rise up.

Tori Spelling Tries to Remain “Brave” in Face of Marital Crisis

90210? More like 9021… oh no, Tori Spelling.

That’s the sort of joke we’d typically make about the actress if she got into some kind of trouble or scandal that we deemed worthy of an article.

But we’re just not in the mood at the moment.

Not when Spelling appears to be spiraling so far down that a dig about how Donna Martin deserves to graduate simply feels trite and inappropriate.

To open the month, in case you forgot, police responded to a call from Spelling and husband Dean McDermott’s home.

Upon arrival, they discovered the mother of five reportedly acting erratically and irresponsibly, with sources claiming Spelling suffered a nervous breakdown of some sort.

She was taken to the hospital at the time for evaluation.

Was this episode caused by a fight with McDermott?

By the marriage being on the rocks and even nearing divorce?

We can’t say for certain…

… but we can say that McDermott called authorities for a second time on March 8, as he feared for his wife “well-being,” sources confirm, due to her strange behavior.

Deputies spoke to Spelling after this incident and determined that no action needed to be taken.

But fans are suddenly extremely worried about Spelling’s mental state.

Should they be?

Is the veteran actress, who has become more known these days for giving birth to lots of kids and struggling with both her relationship and her finances, on the verge of legitimate breakdown?

Perhaps, although Tori sought to quell these concerns on Instagram over the weekend.

“I’m strong. I’m amazing. I’m beautiful. I’m wonderful. I’m worthy. I’m loved. I’m brave. I’m sweet. I’m happy. I’m me,” wrote the 44-year old as a clear message to fans and critics.

She even circled the words “I’m me” in red to make them stand out.

Spelling later shared a quick clip of her one-year-old son, Beau, trying sushi for the first time.

(Spelling and McDermott also share four other kids: Liam, 10, Stella, 9, Hattie, 6, and Finn, 5. It’s a busy household, for sure.)

And while Spelling may have been trying to assure fans that everything is okay via this posting, an insider tells Entertainment Tonight that everything is NOT okay.

Not with her marriage, at least.

Simply put?

“Tori and Dean’s marriage is in shambles despite having a sit down last week to try to make it work,” this outlet reports, adding:

“They made an attempt to use the tools given to them by their therapist to create a healthy environment for the kids but it isn’t working.

What’s the problem?

“One of Tori’s main issues with Dean is he isn’t helping with the kids as much as she feels he should,” ET writes.

“He used to do everything but has stepped away and started taking more time for himself.”

There’s been chatter for years that this romance is on the brink of disaster, but recent event make this rumors appear closer to reality than ever before.

“Dean is trying to be calm and handle things,” the source concludes. “He doesn’t want to raise his voice or say anything that she could misconstrue to the police.

“She panics every time he is out.

“If she doesn’t know exactly where he is, her anxiety goes through the roof. She seems to live in fear he will cheat again.”

We hope these stars work out their issues, considering they are the parents to five young kids.

And, if they do not, we hope Spelling finds some mental peace amid the turmoil.

McDermott seems to sort of suck anyway.

She can do better.

Logan Paul Tries to Make Amends with Suicide Prevention Video

Logan Paul has returned to YouTube with his first video since being publicly reprimanded for basically being an insensitive A-Hole earlier this year.

In late December, the viral sensation shared lengthy footage of his trip to Japan, specifically honing in on the dead body of a man found hanging from a tree in the woods.

Paul and his friends cracked wise about their finding and made fun of the dead.

He proceeded to apologize on multiple occasions for the footage, but never sounded especially sincere in doing so.

Will this latest effort help Paul make amends?

Titled “Suicide: Be Here Tomorrow,” the new seven-minute clip depicts the 22-year old Internet personality talking with suicide survivor Kevin Hines, Alo House Recovery Centers founder Bob Forrest and National Suicide Prevention Hotline director Dr. John Draper.

He says his goal is to educate himself on the topic and to better understand why about 800,000 people take their own lives each year.

“I know I’ve made mistakes. I know I’ve let people down. But what happens when you’re given an opportunity to help make a difference in the world?” Paul says in the video, adding:

“It’s time to learn from the past as I get better and grow as a human being.

"I’m here to have a hard conversation as those who are suffering can have easier ones."

Will critics buy this?

Or will they just view it as a cynical attempt to win back fans?

Paul has 16 million YouTube followers. He makes millions per year off his videos.

In the following footage, he runs down five steps to assist someone who is considering suicide. They are:

  1. Ask.
  2. Listen.
  3. Support.
  4. Help them connect.
  5. Check in on them.

He also pledges to donate $ 1 million to “various suicide prevention organizations, with the first $ 250,000 going straight to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline.

It's a start, right?

Paul says he never meant to create a stir with his controversial video, but that he doesn't know anyone personally who has committed suicide.

"That was part of the problem was just my ignorance on the subject,” he explains below. “While I’m not able to solve the problem by myself, I want to be part of the solution.

Back on December 31, Paul uploaded footage that feature the corpse of a man who appeared to have hanged himself from a tree in Aokigahara, which is commonly referred to as Japan’s “suicide forest."

About 10 days later, YouTube removed him from its Google Premium advertising service.

So… is this video a sincere mea culpa on Paul's part?

Or just a way for him to get into YouTube's good graces and maximize his earnings once again?
