R. Kelly‘s relationship with Joycelyn Savage — one of his alleged brainwashed sex slaves — has done way more than raise eyebrows with viewers of “Surviving R. Kelly” … we’re told it’s caught the attention of the feds.
Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … Joycelyn’s dad, Timothy, has been contacted by an FBI special agent regarding the R&B singer at least 5 TIMES in the past year and a half … most recently weeks before Lifetime’s docuseries began airing on January 3.
We’re told Timothy provided the FBI with all the known whereabouts of Kelly and Joycelyn from state to state, starting with where their relationship began, along with text messages or emails.
Our sources say Timothy provided the feds with lots of the same information regarding alleged predatory behavior and physical abuse he gave Lifetime for ‘Surviving.”
The FBI has jurisdiction when an adult brings a minor across state lines for sexual purposes.
It’s unclear if the FBI has launched an official investigation into R. Kelly … but it’s clear the controversy and accusations against him are on the agency’s radar. He’s already under criminal investigation in Georgia.
As we’ve reported … Joycelyn’s family believes Kelly is holding her against her will — something she strongly denies. The 2 were seen shopping together in April 2018, and we caught her out “vacationing” in Beverly Hills back in May without Kelly.
We’ve reached out to the FBI but were told the agency does not confirm or deny investigations.
One of R. Kelly‘s former managers has surrendered to authorities on charges he made terroristic threats against a family of one of the singer’s alleged victims.
As TMZ first reported, Joycelyn Savage‘s father told us James Masoncalled him in May 2018, and threatened, “I’m gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I’m gonna get you, I’m going to f***ing kill you.”
The Henry County Sheriff’s Dept. issued an arrest warrant last August for felony terroristic threats and acts and, Friday morning, Mason turned himself in.
He was released on $ 10,000 bond.
Joycelyn Savage has said she is not being held against her will, but her parents firmly believed their daughter has been brainwashed and they have mounted a full-court press to free her.
Some of biggest stars in the world — from Adam Sandler to Jamie Foxx to Baker Mayfield — came out to Malibu to play in a celeb softball game Sunday to raise a ton of money for a great cause.
It was all for the California Strong charity … created by MLB stars Christian Yelich, Ryan Braun, Mike Moustakas and NFL star Jared Goff to help out people affected by the CA wildfires and the shooting at the Borderline Bar.
They called every star they knew … and the stars came out in force to Pepperdine University to help.
Rainn Wilson, Mira Sorvino, Dennis Rodman, Brad Paisley, Charlie Sheen, Robin Thicke, Rob Riggle, Matt Leinart, Reggie Miller, Justin Turner and more turned up and balled out.
We’re told the event raised a TON of money — and helped the California Strong organization (in association with the Southeast Ventura County YMCA) cross a lifetime total of $ 1 MILLION in fundraising.
During the game, several checks were handed out to families affected by the fires — and also to the Borderline Bar to help rebuild.
The crowd gave a huge ovation to the first responders.
Besides launching a website and partnering with the YMCA, the guys decided to host a celeb softball game to help raise money for people affected by the Borderline shooting in Thousand Oaks and the wildfires that ravaged the state.
It’s all going down at Pepperdine University on Sunday, January 13 — featuring huge names like Reggie Miller, Justin Turner, Mira Sorvino, Camille Kostek, Rob Riggle and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
The cause hits home for Yelich … who told us last month he would consider donating his MVP trophy to his old hot spot, the Borderline Bar, where 12 people were killed in November.
As if Louis C.K. hadn’t already hit bottom, he just went even lower by attacking victims of the Parkland massacre in a stand-up set … this according to leaked audio of his new material.
In audio that surfaced online Sunday, you can hear Louis performing new jokes in front of an audience … and, at one point, he criticizes the survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting from this past February. Specifically, he seems to be talking about Emma Gonzalez, David Hogg and others who’ve been vocal about implementing gun control.
The audio first appeared on a YouTube page that has since been removed … the description said this set took place on December 16. It’s unclear where exactly he performed.
The jokes are vile. First, Louis attacks the youth of this generation … comparing them to himself in his 20s and 30s, and saying kids these days are simply too PC, well-behaved, and opinionated. He also cracks jokes about people who refuse to conform to gender norms and labels … and then goes after the Parkland kids.
Louis says the kids who survived are not interesting just because they went to a high school where people were shot, and that he shouldn’t have to listen to them just because they “pushed some fat kid in the way.”
