Chester Bennington’s Widow Curses Off “Scumbag” TMZ

In July, Chester Bennington committed suicide.

The loss of the Linkin Park frontman was felt across the music industry, as various artists and stars reacted in shock to Bennington tragically hanging himself at home.

The singer had struggled with depression and addiction throughout his life, largely related to being sexually abused as a child.

Still, those close to the star say there were no signs of sadness or hints of suicidal tendencies leading up to his death.

However, the recent release of a toxicology report proved that drugs and alcohol were in Bennington’s system when he killed himself.

Moreover, TMZ reported on Wednesday that Bennington had previously attempted suicide.

In November of last year, the singer got wasted… hog-tied his own arms and legs… and leaped into his pool in an attempt to drown himself.

Insiders told the celebrity gossip site that this incident was redacted from the original coroner’s report at the request of Bennington’s widow, Talinda.

Which makes sense, right?

Why expose such a horrible story to Bennington’s children?

The coroner’s office was reportedly split on whether they could or should redact such information, but Talinda cited “marital privilege” as the basis for her ask.

It was originally fulfilled, but then TMZ went ahead and revealed the significant tidbit anyway.

And Talinda is understandably PISSED about the article.

After the retracted information was made public, Talinda Tweeted the following:

“Fun fact- When your husband dies by suicide, the LA County Coroner’s office will PARAPHRASE your private conversation with them to dramatize and sensationalize the story and then SCUMBAG FILTH like TMZ post it for the world to feast on.

“It was redacted to protect all the kids!”

Holding nothing back, Bennington’s widow added:

“And now I get to go pull my 11 yr old out of school- because all the kids can use their phones at lunch-to be the first to tell him what REALLY happened in Nov.

“Thanks again to SCUMBAG reporting. FUCK YOU TMZ.”

The autopsy – which was NOT released in full over the summer – stated Bennington’s official cause of death was suicide by hanging.

It added that the Linkin Park singer had a “history of suicidal ideation.”

The document also detailed an account of Bennington drunkenly threatening to kill himself in 2006, prior to leaving his house with a gun.

It will be interesting to see if TMZ’s actions affect its traffic or bottom line at all.

Because many Twitter users are quite peeved at the outlet. To wit:

The duty of good journalists isn’t to make news for making money on someones tragedy. @TMZ journalists, screw you, do you have a family????

Do you have parents, friends, childeren? Put yourselves in position of Chester’s wife and their kids? You are so cruel.

Donald Trump Told Veterans’ Widow “He Knew What He Signed Up For,” Senator Claims

On Monday, President Donald Trump hosted a press conference in the White House Rose Garden that was bizarre even by the currnent administration’s incredibly lofty standards of absurdity.

For one thing, Trump responded to sexual assault allegations against him by barking his “fake news” mantra at the assembled media.

Of course, that’s the president’s standard response to accusations and criticism.

What followed, however, no one could have predicted, and no, we’re not talking about the fact that Trump and Senator Mitch McConnell chose to hold hands as they left the dais.

In one of the more bizarre and outlandish lies of his presidency, Trump alleged that other previous presidents did not contact the widows of fallen servicemen, as he himself had.

“If you look at President Obama and other presidents, most of them didn’t make calls,” Trump told the press.

“A lot of them didn’t make calls. I like to call when it’s appropriate.”

Of course, hundreds of military widows have since come forward to refute that claim, affirming that they did indeed receive phone calls from President Obama after their husbands were killed.

In the wake of an ambush from ISIS-affiliated forces in Niger that left four dead, it seems Trump did indeed contact the widow of at least one of the fallen, but far from offering comfort, it seems his remarks only deepened her suffering.

Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D-FL) says she was present when Trump contacted the widow of La David Johnson, a Green Beret who was killed in the attack.

Her account of Trump’s conversation with Myeshia Johnson is genuinely appalling:

“Basically he said, ‘Well, I guess he knew what he signed up for, but I guess it still hurt,'” Wilson told Don Lemon on CNN last night.

Naturally, Trump was quick to tweet his incendiary response to the allegation:

“Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof). Sad!”

“I have proof, too: this man is a sick man,” Wilson responded on CNN this morning.

She added that Johnson’s widow “broke down” after her call with Trump.

“When she actually hung up the phone she looked and said, ‘He didn’t even know his name,'” Wilson says of her time in the Johnson home.

Myeshia Johnson has yet to speak publicly about the incident, and the president has yet to offer the “proof” he promised in his tweet.

Crystal Harris: Hugh Hefner’s Widow to Inherit NOTHING?!

As you’ve likely heard by now, iconic Playboy founder Hugh Hefner passed away last night at the age of 91.

Sources say Hef, as he was known to so many, passed peacefully, at home in his famous mansion, surrounded by loved ones.

Among those loved ones was Hefner’s third wife, Crystal Harris.

Hefner and Harris married in 2012, and their relationship was often a tumultuous one.

The couple was originally scheduled to tie the knot one year earlier, but Harris called off the wedding and was consequently dubbed “the runaway bride” on the cover of Playboy.

Harris returned to Hefner, and the couple eventually reconciled.

The sixty year age difference caused many to question Harris’ motives in marrying Hefner, but the model says she was never after the publishing magnate’s money.

We hope for her sake that she was being truthful in that assertion, as The Daily Mail is reporting today that Harris will receive no inheritance from Hefner’s estate.

The London tabloid claims that Harris signed an “iron clad” prenup before marrying Hefner.

As such, she’ll receive no part of his estimated $ 43 million fortune, which will instead be divided amongst his four children, the University of Southern California, and several charities chosen by Hef.

Playboy‘s popularity declined in recent years, and while he played a reduced role in the magazine’s day-to-day operations, Hefner remained the face of the brand until his death.

More important to his heirs, of course, is the fact that he retained 35 percent ownership of the Playboy corporation.

There’s no word on how that share will be passed on, but it’s believed it will be divided equally among his children.

Hefner handed off the bulk of the magazine’s operations duties to his son Marston last year.

Sources close to the situation say that Harris will be “taken care of,” presumably with a monthly stipend.

But it seems that if Crystal was hoping to never work again as a result of her marriage to Hefner, she may have been mistaken.
