Teen Choice Awards Fashion: Who Wore It Worst?

The Teen Choice Awards aired live from Los Angeles on Sunday night,  August 12.

And we'll be honest:

The red carpet was bereft of some star power.

Gone are the days when A-Listers such as Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift attended this event.

In their place, however, were the rising celebrities of today and the gigantic celebrities of tomorrow.

What better way to make an impression than with a unique or risque outfit, right?

With that in mind, scroll down and all around below in order to determine who wore it best at the TCAs in 2018 and, of course, who wore it the very very worst:

1. Candace Cameron Bure at the TCAs

2. Joey King at the TCAs

Why go with anything but black? This was clearly King’s philosophy at the Teen Choice Awards.

3. Bebe Rexha at the TCAs

For Bebe Rexha, pink was the new black. What do you think of her Teen Choice Awards ensemble?

4. Meghan Trainor at the TCAs

Meghan Trainor was all about that great look at the Teen Choice Awards. We love this outfit!

5. Chloe Grace Moretz at the TCAs

All business, people. For Chloe Grace Moretz at the Teen Choice Awards, it was absolutely all business.

6. Sabrina Carpenter at the TCAs

This is simply a cute outfit. Not much else to say about the purple look that Sabrina Carpenter is rocking.

Derick Dillard Slammed on Father’s Day: You’re the Worst Kind of Dad!

It’s only Monday, but Jill Duggar is already having quite a week on social media.

First, Jill wore a swimsuit in a photo that was posted on her Instagram page.

In order to appreciate why that’s a big deal, you have to understand that Duggar swimwear usually looks like something a silent film star named Myrtle would rock circa 1923.

And here’s Jill wearing a normal 21st-century one-piece like it’s not big deal. Bold, we say!

So that was a rare win for Jill, whose social media posts are usually just an embarrassment for everyone involved.

Unfortunately, the goodwill Jill earned by passive-aggressively standing up to her domineering dad was squandered when she celebrated Father’s Day by heaping praise on her controversial husband, Derick Dillard

As you may know, Derick holds views that are so controversial that they’ve brought him into conflict with even the most conservative (read: bigoted) Duggar fans.

Derick is one of those Trump supporters who stands by the president even when his policies fly in the face of the Christian values Dillard claims to hold so dear.

So fans took issue when Jill posted the awkward screenshot above, along with a link to a lengthy paean to Derick’s compassionate and godliness:

“Thank you for not always taking the easy path, but following God’s leading in our lives,” Jill wrote on the Dillards’ personal website.

“Thank you for being our protector, both physically and spiritually, as you seek God’s will during your daily devotion time,” she added.

“I see you investing in our children, just like your dad did with you and [Derick’s brother] Dan and it melts my heart!

“He taught you what it means to be a Godly man, and I see you reading the Bible and teaching our children how to pray,” Jill concluded.

Fans were quick to take issue with those sentiments, with many pointing out that Derick has expressed support for the policy of separating children from their families at the US border.

“Just curious why this has to be made public. Can’t you express your gratitude personally?” wrote one follower, adding:

“Think of ALL the children being held in a detention center, separated from their parents. Is that loving? Is it Godly? NOPE!”

Another stated simply, “Any man can be a father but not every man is a dad.”

To her credit, Jill has distanced herself from some of Derick’s most deplorable views, but many fans (and former fans) believe that’s not nearly enough.

“To disagree doesn’t = hate, or judgement … Love doesn’t always = approval,” she once wrote on Instagram, seemingly in reference to Derick.

“Just because I disagree with my child on something doesn’t mean I hate him, and just because I love and forgive him doesn’t mean I approve of everything he does. You can be friends with, love and care for people you don’t agree with 100%.”

In a society that’s as patriarchal as the Duggars’, it took guts for Jill to even imply that she doesn’t always agree with her husband.

But it’s not hard to see why so many feel that she needs to be doing much, much more.

Chelsea Houska: Teen Mom 2 Reunion Shows Are THE WORST!

These days, when we think of Teen Mom 2 we basically think of a violent talk show that can only be described as Springer-esque.

At this point, it’s difficult to even recall the series’ quaint beginnings, a time when fans tuned in to enjoy everything promised by the title — namely, a sequel to a previous series that was also about the challenges of parenting as an adolescent.

Of course, it’s no accident that producers have chosen to switch the focus to the ever-intensifying feuds among cast members.

Drama sells, and as such, the TM2 reunions shows — that were once a fun opportunity to catch up on what the cast has been up to in the weeks since filming wrapped — have come to devour the rest of the season.

Now, reunion shows are the dramatic tentpole that props up the entire season.

Conflicts begin at the tapings in New York, and — much less often — they’re resolved there.

After the taping, the cast members return to their home states where tensions simmer for several months, and when they make their return to Manhattan the ladies are once again ready to throw down.

Obviously, viewers enjoy the new format, as reunion shows used to take place over the course of one hour, and now they encompass several episodes.

But not everyone in the cast is comfortable with the show’s new direction.

In recent weeks, Chelsea Houska has made it clear that this isn’t the kind of experience she signed on for.

She’s even taken to social media to complain about the gradual change in the focus of the series, complaining that Teen Mom 2 “isn’t about being a mom anymore.”

There’s been talk of Chelsea quitting the show, but it seems she’s not willing to go quite that far — yet.

Currently, Houska is pregnant with her third child, and she left the most recent taping ahead of schedule due to violence among cast members.

Now, a newly-released deleted scene shows that Chelsea and her husband, Cole DeBoer, have been fed up with the reunion show scene for quite some time.

“The reunion was a disaster,” Chelsea tells Cole and her father, Randy Houska, having recently returned from a taping in New York.

“That’s not our life,” Cole echoes.

“I mean, that’s what’s sad: there’s kids that think that’s normal,” Randy opines, always happy to throw a bit of shade.

“Because another time when Kail and — I don’t know if it was Briana or her sister — one of them was coming down the hallway and I had stepped out in the hallway with the baby,” Chelsea recalls in the scene,

“I…just went back in my room because I was, like, “Oh my god! I can’t even leave my room?!”

We think it’s safe to say Chelsea won’t be returning for too many future sessions with Dr. Drew.

Watch Teen Mom 2 online for a reminder of the many ways in which Chelsea is the chillest of the moms.

Derick Dillard Goes on Homophobic Rant, Is Still Just the Worst

Derick Dillard is just a truly awful, no-good person.

You know it, we know it, everyone who has had the terrible misfortune to check out his Twitter account knows it.

He just says so many awful things all the time about so many people — who could forget his favorite hobby of mocking Jazz Jennings, the transgender teenage girl who has her own show on TLC?

Or the way he constantly tries to defend his backwards, ignorant beliefs in the most obnoxious, arrogant way possible?

Or the way he constantly asks Duggar fans for money, even when he and his family worked on a reality show and even now that he insists he has a job now that they’re no longer on Counting On?

It’s just bad. It’s all bad.

And, wouldn’t you know it, Derick’s gone and made our opinion of him even worse by taking a sizable chunk of time yesterday to criticize Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent, the stars of Nate and Jeremy by Design.

If you’re not familiar, Nate and Jeremy by Design is a show on TLC, one of those home renovation and design shows that everyone loves so much.

The show has another layer though, because Nate and Jeremiah are also married.

They have a three-year-old daughter who’s been featured on the show, and they welcomed a son just last month.

They have a really, really adorable family, but it’s not a traditional family, so you know Derick just had to run his mouth about it.

Over on Twitter, he shared a promo for the show that TLC tweeted, and along with it he wrote “What a travesty of family. It’s sad how blatant the liberal agenda is, such that it both highlights and celebrates a lifestyle so degrading to children on public television as if it should be normal.”

So in one single tweet, he called Nate and Jeremiah’s beautiful family a “travesty,” said they were “degrading” their children on TV, insisted that they’re not “normal,” and suggested that the only reason they’d have their own show is because of “the liberal agenda.”

Not a great start, Derick.

When someone pointed out that what they do doesn’t affect him at all, he replied “They affect this poor child, as well as what perversions are celebrated.”

“If it were adultery, I doubt a network would be so quick to focus on the reality of it as if it were ok.”

Adultery and homosexuality aren’t on the same level at all, obviously, and it’s really disgusting to talk about their daughter this way — she looks like a super happy, well-loved kid.

Look, there are too many dumb tweets from Derick to dissect them all like this, so let’s just check out the highlights of his incredible ignorance, all right?

After getting called out for being so judgemental, he said “I’m not bashing the people, I’m just calling out the public agenda at play and how a network chooses what they highlight.”

“Christians should love all as Christ loved all. Take advantage of capitalism: boycott what you don’t believe in, but don’t boycott relationships.”

With all this talk about agendas, someone asked him about his, and he explained that “My agenda is love and truth. I try to follow Jesus Christ as best I can. I’m not perfect, but I do my best.”

Do better, buddy.

He said that his big issue with the show is the way their daughter is involved — a bit hypocritical, considering how many Duggar kids have been featured on the network.

But, as he explained it, “they absolutely have the right to share it, but I’m just calling Christians not to support its promotion in such a public sphere.”

Some sweet soul tried to make the argument that if God created everything, he created gay people, and therefore they are also “fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Derick argued that “Yes, everything was created perfectly. Unfortunately, it didn’t stay that way very long because a curse was brought through sin which affected the whole world.”

“That’s why Jesus came — to redeem it and be the needed savior for our sin. Praise God!”

It’s very clear, and it’s been clear for a long time, that Derick is not interested in ever considering the possibility that he could be wrong — and by “wrong,” of course we mean “ridiculous and hateful and so, so bigoted.”

So on a sweeter, lighter note, let’s check out Nate and Jeremiah’s responses to this mess.

Without replying directly to Derick, Nate tweeted “My hope with having a show like #NandJByDesign on @TLC, where we go into people’s homes and welcome viewers into ours, is that we can start to break down barriers & normalize the way our family looks & the way our family loves.”

Jeremiah added that the show “is about showing the many different faces of love and our universal connection through it.”

Isn’t that infinitely nicer than all that nonsense from Derick?

Shame it’s just a part of that “liberal agenda,” huh?

Ben Seewald’s Sister Is Jim Bob Duggar’s Worst Nightmare

It should come as no surprise that the women of the Duggar family are a close-knit lot.

After all, it’s not as though they can go outside their family for female companionship.

The Duggar women follow a set of rules so strict that it basically forces them to stick to their own kind – which is probably the point.

But for all their father’s efforts to clip their wings, several Duggar women have left the nest, and in some cases, they’ve found themselves ill-equipped for the wider world – while in others, they’ve adapted with astonishing speed.

The best example of the latter case is probably Jinger Duggar, who began wearing pants in violation of her family’s strict dress code shortly after marrying Jeremy Vuolo.

Jinger’s oldest married sister, Jill Duggar, has pursued a more traditional lifestyle, in keeping with her family’s teachings.

And then there’s Jessa Duggar, who’s embarked down a middle path, not quite appeasing her parents, but not exactly rebelling, either:

Jessa is married to Ben Seewald, who leans slightly to the left of the ultra-conservative Duggars, in terms of his political and religious beliefs.

In the past, this has brought him into conflict with Jim Bob, such as the time Seewald endorsed the Black Lives Matter movement and expressed his belief in the right of NFL players to kneel for the national anthem.

Now, it looks as though Ben’s liberal (by Duggar standards) beliefs are no fluke.

In fact, it seems like the entire Seewald family espouses beliefs and lifestyles that would condemn them to hell under Jim Bob’s belief system.

That’s a photo of Ben’s parents standing alongside his sister, Jessica.

It was posted to the Seewald family Instagram page this week, along with the following caption:

“@jessicaseewald, congratulations on your new journey in law enforcement,” the Seewalds wrote.

“We sure do love you and are praying for the days ahead! #backtheblue.”

Becoming a cop might seem like just about the least rebellious thing in the world, but take a moment to reflect on what you’re seeing here:

That’s a young woman wearing pants and embarking on a career that’s been closed to women for most of its history.

Yes, Ben’s sister is basically Jim Bob’s worst nightmare come to life.

And Jessica’s rebellious (again, by Duggar standards) ways don’t end there.

The 21-year-old reportedly has a boyfriend named Philip, and the two of them do not follow the famous Duggar courtship rules.

And we think it’s safe to say Jim Bob would not approve of Jessica’s choice of attire:

Shorts! On a woman!

Michelle Duggar would probably need smelling salts if she laid eyes on this pic.

But if you’re worried that Jessica’s far-left views will tear the Duggar clan asunder, fear not:

As In Touch Weekly points out, Jessica is a gun-collecting Trump supporter who’s political beliefs lean far to the right.

Plus, her name starts with a “J,” so she’s probably just fine in Jim Bob’s book.

Farrah Abraham Gets Butt Injections, Has Daughter Film It, Is Still the Worst

Warning: this is weird. This is really, really weird.

But we’re talking about Farrah Abraham, so hey, you probably figure that out already.

And if you happened to read the headline before mindlessly clicking on the photo of Farrah because you knew that whatever the story was about, it would be entertaining and ridiculous?

Well, then you know that we’re in for a wild and crazy time.

Before we get into it though, it feels important to note that Farrah has never really understood that Sophia is a child and not a tiny adult.

She was waxing Sophia’s eyebrows when she was three years old, and when she was four, she spent a lot of time away from her promoting her sex tape and getting heavy into the adult industry.

At the time, she explained that it was OK because Sophia “has her own life and is doing her own thing,” and “it’s healthy that we have a break” from each other.

Again, Sophia was four.

Farrah often has very adult conversations with her daughter present, and she pulled her out of school so she could “homeschool” her, which seems to have meant getting her into modeling and bringing her along to places she has no business being.

And that’s what we’re talking about now.

Farrah gets lots of plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures, just in case you missed the memo or if you haven’t seen her face in the past few years.

She gets vaginal rejuvenation, she’s had a few boob jobs, that sort of thing.

But this week, she decided to get some butt injections, you know, since summer is coming up and all.

Which would have been fine, but she went and brought poor Sophia along for her appointment.

And she brought her in there when she was actually getting the injections. And made her stand behind her. And film it.

As you can see in the video above, Sophia was right there to witness the whole thing, which is just not great.

The whole thing is basically an ad, so we won’t bother transcribing the video — it’s just information about the injections, pretty boring stuff.

She did use a “mom life” hashtag in her caption though, which is pretty precious.

But obviously the thing everyone is zeroing in on with this video isn’t the injections or the details about the procedure or anything like that — it’s long-suffering Sophia there in the back.

Farrah injections

And boy, do people have a lot of feelings about it.

“Your daughter should not think she has to do this stuff to her body,” one person told her. “Keep her mind like a child as long as you can which u don’t.”

Can’t argue that.

Someone told her that she’s “the most disgraceful role model to that little girl,” and another said that “teaching your daughter about ruining her body at such a young age is very improper.”

“She doesn’t see the damage she’s causing to her child, consumed by money and greed,” one of Farrah’s followers wrote. “Sad.”

Believe it or not — just kidding, you’ll definitely believe it — there were several, several comments about how someone should call child protective services over this video.

Don’t worry though, Farrah herself jumped in the comments to explain everything.

“This is non-invasive just like blood work or getting shots,” the former Teen Mom OG star said.

She added that the person doing the injections “did an amazing job and our children our curious so more power to Sophia learning about aesthetics and health.”

Does she … does she think that this is part of educating Sophia? Is this one of her homeschool activities?

Also, let’s take a moment to consider the fact that the woman who wrote “our children our curious” is in charge of this kid’s entire education.

As for Sophia herself, she commented on the video as well, writing “This was weird. I would do squats my momma.”

Is this not the most bizarre story you’ve ever heard?
