At $ 31.7 MILLION A YEAR … Roger Goodell is actually UNDERPAID — so says Dana White. “That’s the worst f***ing job in sports,” White says of being the NFL’s commish. We got the UFC honcho out in NYC … and asked about football’s latest…
Heading into Saturday Night Live this weekend, a nation waited with anticipation over what Pete Davidson would say about his break-up with Ariana Grande.
The comedian and the singer dated for a whole few weeks earlier this summer prior to getting engaged, public displaying tons of affection — and then splitting about four months later.
Grande was so prepared for some jab at her expense on air that she actually released a track just before SNL aired that beat Davidson to the punch, referencing him and other exes as well.
So… what did Davidson say about the pop singer during his stint on Weekend Update?
"I know some of you are curious about the break-up, but the truth it's nobody's business, and sometimes things just don't work out, and that's OK," he told viewers, concluding of Grande:
"She's a wonderful, strong person, and I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world. Now please, go vote on Tuesday."
That was it, meaning Davidson avoided controversy and actually came across looking very well, right?
Oh, no. Oh, so VERY wrong.
Earlier in the segment, Davidson sat behind the Weekend Update desk and mocked the appearance of a congressional candidate whose eye was destroyed while he served in Afghanistan.
"This guy is kinda cool, Dan Crenshaw," Davidson said alongside a photo Crenshaw, a Republican.
"You may be surprised to hear he's a congressional candidate from Texas, and not a hit man in a porno movie."
"I'm sorry, I know he lost his eye in war, or whatever," he added. "Whatever."
Not exactly whatever, Pete, the entire Internet basically said at once.
You thought it was worth making a pirate joke at a veteran's expense simply because he wears an eye patch?
That's both offensive and just plain lazy.
"Good rule in life: I try hard not to offend; I try harder not to be offended," Crenshaw himself Tweeted in response.
"That being said, I hope @nbcsnl recognizes that vets don’t deserve to see their wounds used as punchlines for bad jokes."
There was also this response from National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Jack Pandol:
"Getting dumped by your pop star girlfriend is no excuse for lashing out at a decorated war hero who lost his eye serving our country.
"Pete Davidson and NBC should immediately apologize to Dan, and to the millions of veterans and military families who tune in every weekend — because they're not laughing."
As of this writing, neither Davidson nor NBC has issued said apology.

Meghan Markle played a lawyer on the USA Network hit drama Suits.
But criticism continues to pour in regarding the Duchess of Sussex, most notably that she simply cannot play the role of a Royal with the proper respect it deserves.
Over the past several weeks, sources have come down hard on Markle for snubbing various Palace traditions, typically ones associated with fashion and decorum.
And now it seems as if certain people are also taking issue with the way Markle is acting overseas.
The expecting mother and Prince Harry have mostly been receiving rave reviews for their behavior on their ongoing tour — but Markle is coming under fire at the moment for how she greeted Tonga’s King Tupou VI and his wife Queen Nanasipau’u last week.
Specifically, how weakly sue curtsied on front of the powerful couple.
Here is a still shot of the bow in question:
Did Markle get down low enough?
Did she hold her form for long enough?
Did her facial expression make it clear she just wasn’t that into the gesture?
All of the above, Twitter users appear to be saying. Here is a sampling of their most harsh responses to Markle’s lame curtsy:
Those were the two worst curtsies I think I’ve ever seen!
I wonder if maybe she wasn’t sure if she should curtsy? Either way, you gotta commit.
I saw this video on Instagram. Gives the impression she did not know if she should curtsy or not.
That seems plausible, right? It can be tricky to remember all the customs of various nations, especially for someone not raised in such an environment.
In case you somehow haven’t heard, Markle is pregnant.
So it’s also possible that she only gently curtsied in order to protect her fetus.
We really can’t say for certain at the moment.
However, a so-called etiquette expert named William Hanson told The Daily Mail that Markle has a lot to learn about how a Royal should act overall.
He says she sticks her hands into her pockets on far too many occasions.
“We know that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pioneering a new, relaxed, tactile branch of monarchy, but having hands in the pocket is a step too far,” this random critic says, adding:
“There is good casual and there is bad casual.
“Placing a hands in the pocket is too relaxed and unprofessional.”
Markle, of course, is no stranger to criticism.
Just ask her awful half-sister.
We doubt she’ll respond to the backlash she is garnering here, especially because Hanson admits that her actions aren’t actually a big deal.
Not in the grand scheme of life, that is.
“Will the world end? No,” he concludes to The Mail. “It is just a small blip in Meghan’s usually delightful manners that can be easily corrected for future engagements.”
After some genuinely surprising performances last week, the action slowed down Monday night, and we got to meet a group of middle of the pack performers.
But where did they end up?
Let’s break down the performances, shall we?
Dave Fenley (Team Blake) – “Help Me Hold On”
This 39-year-old Texan native was such a hoot that he got Kelly and Blake advocating to be associated with him.
His Travis Tritt cover was solid, but his confidence and personality are what really set him apart from the others.
Blake seems like the likely candidate to give this one time to shine. His voice matches what Blake generally goes for, so there’s that.
Audri Bartholomew (Team Jennifer) – “Never Enough”
It was only a matter of time before The Greatest Showman songs did the singing competition circuit, but we wish Audri was better.
Her vocals are most certainly there, but there were some moments that made it seem like her microphone had some interference.
She got one chair turn, and that was from Jennifer, but could this be a sign that she’s not the best performer?
Rachel Messer (Team Blake) – “I Wanna Be a Cowboy’s Sweetheart”
This small-town girl made her way to L.A. with the aim of making it big. The 19-year-old hit the stage with a song that was perfectly suited to her voice.
She has the vocal ability, but she needs the star quality and confidence to match it.
Chevel Shepherd (Team Kelly) – “If I Die Young”
Chevel was another one who probably shouldn’t have made it through. Her vocals were all over the shop, to the point it seemed like she actually wasn’t going to get a turn.
Being on Team Kelly, there’s a chance she could switch things up. But if first impressions are everything, then this was not a good start.
Delaney Silvernell (Team Kelly) – “In My Blood”
Was Monday night the sub-par Blind Auditions, or what? Delaney had a heartwarming story, and she seemed destined for stardom.
There was nothing remotely memorable about her, and that’s problematic on a show that focuses on viewer votes in addition to judging critiques.
Anthony Arya (Team Adam), “Danny’s Song”
Anthony struggled a lot with the vocal side of things, but the coaches collectively agreed that he looked like someone who would have a big following.
Adam seemed to find something to like about the voice since he opted to take him on board. Was it a mistake?
Time will tell.
Natasia Greycloud (Team Jennifer) – “I’m Not the Only One”
Natasia was quick to point out that she had been inspired by Kelly, but that didn’t mean she was going on her idol’s team.
In the end, she wound up on Team Jennifer, and that was probably for the best. She was a fantastic performer, but the true test will be whether the song choices will match her voice.

The Voice continues Tuesday at 8/7c.
Last week on Alaskan Bush People, Gabe Brown risked life and limb working construction on the Brown family's new homestead.
On the latest episode, however, it's not Gabe who's putting himself at risk. His older brother Matt Brown gets injured.
It's a major setback for the Browns, as they explain in this video. How much will this delay construction?
On Sunday night's new Alaskan Bush People episode, Matt Brown jumps down from too high and ends up injuring his knee.
His siblings are concerned about his well being, but as Gabe explains to the camera, they are also concerned about delaying their construction project.
"These are major setbacks," Gabe laments to the camera.
He shares his fear that: "It's gonna keep us from building the barn."
"It's pretty much worst case scenario," Gabe worries. Matt may be able to walk, but not like he could before he twisted his knee.
Rain Brown is only 15 (though she often acts as the family's de facto spokesperson on social media, she will not turn 16 until November 23, 2018).
Despite that, she is so often the voice of reason — and even maturity. Even when she is speaking to Bam Bam, who is 34 entire years old.
"I'm just going to be blunt with you," Rain says. "I think you could help more."
Bam, we learn, has been showing up late and bristles in the face of being given instructions. Again, this is a grown man who was born in 1984.
"It's really important for everyone to get involved with this," Rain emphasizes. "Teamwork is important."
Though he had been messing around in the face of Matt's instructions, Rain's words do get through to Bam Bam.
"I'm just me all the time," Bam admits.
You know what? He sure is.
He then asks Rain to "just tell me," when he's not being as helpful as he should. "So maybe I can fix it."
That sounds like it should be his responsibility rather than Rain's, but okay.
Rain needs more from Bam Bam than showing up on time and working as a team.
She admits that what he really brings to the group is a concern with safety. Matt and Gabe, in contrast, are daredevils who take risks like they have something to prove.
"I think we actually need your help a lot more than we let on," Rain tells Bam.
She appreciates him agreeing to work on his behavior, and says: "I think that this is a good first step."
"We still need to get that working on a team level going," Rain says.
It sounds like Matt — and, honestly, Gabe — need to reign in their impulses, while Bam Bam needs to be more helpful.
To be fair, they're all there to film the show. As we know, the Brown family have accumulated their share of wealth over what are now 8 seasons of reality televisions.
They're not squatting on land in the wilderness — they're on Billy Brown's 435 property in rural Washington.
Bam isn't there because he's a construction expert. He's there because he's a reality star and appearing on camera means that he gets paid.
Still, that injury looks like the real deal. Maybe Matt should wisen up and realize that he's not as young as he once was. They all need to be careful.
OK, so Adam Lind is a truly awful person with zero redeeming qualities.
We all know this, and we’ve known it for a very, very long time.
It would take forever to list all the ways he is the worst, but let’s at least go through a rundown of his greatest hits, all right?
The world was unfortuantely introduced to him because he impregnated Chelsea Houska, who had her own episode of 16 and Pregnant and then went on to be one of the mothers featured in Teen Mom 2.
They shared an adorable daughter, Aubree, but it was clear from the beginning that he was not exactly the world’s best dad.
Or a dad at all, really.
He wasn’t around too much after Aubree was born, or ever, as far as we saw.
He and Chelsea broke up, then got back together, and so on and so forth.
He was really cruel to her and obviously wasn’t too interested in their kid, but still, she kept taking him back pretty much until she met Cole DeBoer, an actual good person and now, her husband.
At some point in that mess, he also began seeing Taylor Halbur, and he had a baby with her, too — a precious little girl they named Paislee.
Adam wasn’t around for her, either, and it’s since become clear why.
As it turns out, he has a pretty big problem with addiction and domestic violence.
He’s been arrested plenty of times for DUIs and driving without a license, that sort of thing, but last year, he failed a court-ordered drug test.
Because of meth.
Yep, Adam was doing lots and lots of meth, and although he’s not on Teen Mom 2 anymore and hasn’t been for a while, we really don’t have any reason to believe he ever stopped.
He was also arrested more than once last year on domestic violence charges — his most recent ex, Stasia Huber stated in court documents that he broke her arm when he was high, then locked her in the house and destroyed her phone.
In other court documents for another case, Taylor claimed that he once killed two of her puppies, and that on another ocasion, he knocked her to the ground when she was holding Paislee.
So meth, breaking girlfriend’s arms, killing girlfriend’s puppies … how can it get any worse?
Oh, just you wait!
In one of Adam’s earliest appearances on MTV, he sent a text to Chelsea, who had just given birth to Aubree, to call her a “fat stretch mark bitch.”
He also wrote “tell me where and when to sign the rights over for that mistake,” and by “that mistake,” he meant their baby.
Now, all these years later, he actually did sign his rights over.
Not for Aubree, but for his other daughter, Paislee.
Yesterday, Taylor took Adam to court to get things done, as reported by The Ashley’s Reality Roundup.
It was hardly the first time Taylor took Adam to court — they’ve been many times to deal with custody arrangements, child support, visitation — but it was the last.
According to the report, Adam was asked several questions by the judge before everything was made official, and he was required to state that he knew his decision was permanent, and that from here on out, he’d have no rights to Paislee.
He did, and just like that, he signed away his rights to his youngest child.
As a bit of a happy ending to all of this, South Dakota state law requires that when parental rights are terminated, the rights get transferred to someone else, or to some authorized agency.
That was no big deal though, because Taylor’s husband adopted Paislee!
He’s been in Paislee’s life for a long time, and it seems like he’s been her dad during all that time anyway, it’s just official now.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t affect anything with Aubree.
If Chelsea wants Adam to terminate his parental rights to her, too, then she’ll have to get her own court date.
But in the past, she’s often followed Taylor’s lead — Taylor got a visitation center involved for Adam long before Chelsea did, for example — and they do speak with each other.
We have a feeling that if she wanted to do this, too, then Cole would happily adopt Aubree.
Honestly, it’s probably only a matter of time until that happens.
Can Adam get any lower than this?
After watching Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon's engagement happen right in front of him, Kevin Wendt remained in Paradise … for a little while.
This week, he broke up with Astrid, catching her totally off guard. The two of them went home.
Now, they've both taken to social media to address the breakup and how fans have responded.
If you've already seen this week's Bachelor in Paradise recap, you know that Kevin Wendt totally blindsided Astrid Loch by breaking up with her.
The one thing that she had asked him to not do to her was to catch her off guard and embarrass her like that.
The two of them were about to get to do a fantasy date when Kevin got caught up in his feelings and confessed that there was something missing from their relationship.
He rambled about how their lifestyles are different and brought up bad experiences with fantasy dates in the past.
It … was not fun for him, it was less fun for Astrid, and it left Bachelor Nation viewers cringing.
Astrid and Kevin went home.
Now that the episode aired, Kevin is free to comment on it. And he's had all of the time since the breakup was filmed to reflect upon that moment.
"My own worst enemy," Kevin admits in the caption of a photo of him on the beach in front of the sunset. "Me."
He also shared another photo of him and Astrid, definitely no longer in paradise.
"Real life," he writes in the caption. "Real people."
"06.21.18," Astrid's own post on the subject begins.
"The longest day of the year," she writes. "And my favorite day in Mexico."
The photo beside this caption is of her with Kevin's head draped in her lap.
"I’ll never forget watching this sunset and feeling like the luckiest girl in the world," Astrid says.
Astrid concludes: "This is how I’ll always remember paradise."
Astrid also addressed her fans on Twitter.
"Love you all…" her tweet begins, addressing the outpouring of sympathy and emotional support that she had received from the Bachelor Nation.
"if you wanna make me feel better," she suggests. "Follow me in Instagram so I can at least make money on ads."
That is incredibly honest and a little funny. And, you know, she has a point.
Breakups are rough, but it sounds like she's going to be okay.
Some fans have been speculating that Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon's proposal in Paradise may have weighed heavily upon Kevin's mind.
We're not suggesting that he broke up with Astrid to try to woo Ashley back, of course.
But seeing your fairly recent ex get engaged right in front of you can really make an impact.
(We all saw Kevin's face as he responded to that, right?)
Doubts can fester and insecurities can mount. We hope that Kevin's head and heart are in a better place now.
Jenelle Evans is no one's idea of the perfect mom, but even she has her limits, right?
Sure, CPS has been called to Evans home 20 times in less than a year, but even she must draw the line somewhere!
There was a time when we might have thought so, but now that we've seen Jenelle twerk in front of her children, we're not so sure.
Why did she think this was a good idea? Who filmed it? How have fans reacted to this cringe-worthy sight?

Sometimes, there are truly no words for how utterly ridiculous Farrah Abraham is.
It's just too much.
But even in times like these, we have to soldier on — we have to try to wrap our heads around just how remarkably dumb she is.
Because it's entertaining, it's funny in its own twisted way, and everybody knows you can't look away from a train wreck.
And if Farrah Abraham isn't a train wreck, then who even knows what is?

The rivalry will be revisted on the next all-new episode of Season 15.
In sneak peek at this Sunday's Keeping Up with the Kardashians," Kim and Khloe sit down to talk about their ongoing beef with their older sibling.
For starters, Khloe recalls a vicious phone call she had with Kourtney, where Khloe claims the mom of three was "talking shit."
We don't see this phone call, but we're totally sure it happened and not that producers just told the cast members to make it up.
"She was like, 'Me and Kendall were talking about you,'" Khloe says of this alleged call, explaining in more detail:
"She goes, 'You're really scared about how your life is gonna turn out.' She thinks I'm scared, that's why I'm 'acting out,' because I don't want to let my old life go. What?"
(For contest, Khloe was pregnant when this episode was filmed back in December.)
"She's so off," Kim says in response, adding that Kourtney is being a "freak."
After screaming at Kourtney earlier about how she's been shirking her responsibilities to the family, Kim and Khloe decide to call Kendall in order to talk about how "absurd" this whole thing is.
"The fact that you even hang out with Kourtney, you're such a f-cking freak," Kim jokes to Kendall. "I question your morals. I question your humanity."
But Kendall isn't really in on the joke. She doesn't get it.
"What? Why? Kourt is my best friend right now," Jenner says defensively, while also making the mistake of saying that Kourtney might not actually spend Christmas with her sisters.
Could this be a "cry for help" from Kourtney, Kim wonders.
Maybe a "cry for attention," sort of like how black sheep brother Rob Kardashian does stupid stuff just to get noticed by his relatives or the public at large?
"Okay, that is crossing the line," Kendall replies hilariously, taking a major swipe at Rob in the process.
"Every time we talk about her I get more upset," Khloe tells Kim of Kourtney.
"She drives me so crazy, I just don't even know what to do," Kim responds.
It's pretty easy and obvious, really: Just read the script and do whatever it says to do next. D'uh!
